Any experience of artificial oocyte activation (AOA) to improve ICSI fertilisation rates?
Hello, after badgering our new clinic to take a look at our notes from previous cycles I've just had a follow up call with the consultant. He's sure I've been put on the right protocol (Flare with maximum dose) but also mentioned we could consider AOA if we wanted as our main challenge has been fertilisation

immunosuppression, Covid, and back to office policies
Is there anyone else whose reasonable accommodation request to telecommute full time due to immunosuppression during Covid was completely disregarded and treated with disdain? I am pursuing legal action and looking for others who have experienced similar discrimination

Dopamine to Pregabalin transition advice, please
I started taking Mirapexin in 2002. My dose increased over the years, reaching 5 x 0.088 mg tablets four years ago when augmentation set in. Three years ago, my doctor prescribed pregabalin and allowed me to manage my transition from Mirapexin. I have not yet completed that transition. Today, I take

beyond devastated - pgta results
Hi everyone, hope you’re all ok. I’m sat here on my own filled with total devastation as my husband is out of the country, so turning to you wonderful lot for some positivity. I just received the sad news that our top quality frozen blasts are all abnormal. It took us three rounds of ICSI to get to

Have you been misdiagnosed? I might have been.
I was diagnosed with Parkinson’s approximately four years ago by two different neurologists. I noticed the first symptoms two years before that. So I am into my sixth year with Parkinson’s. I have managed to treat my symptoms through natural solutions, including: - An intense focus on finding a diet

New clinic not interested in seeing notes from previous rounds at another clinic... is this normal?
Hello, we're just starting our final ever round of ICSI and decided to try a new clinic. We've done 4 egg collections and 5 embryo transfers (2 fresh, 3 frozen) through another clinic. I was a bit surprised that the new clinic have put us on a protocol without asking any questions about previous protocols

Unsuccessful 1st Cycle - no blastocyst - what's next?
Hi all, my husband and I went through our first ICSI cycle in November in London and unfortunately the results were not great, from 5 eggs retrieved, we had only 3 embryos on day 3 and no blastocyst on day 5. Our clinic highlighted two issues: the low follicular response rate (potentially low egg

COVID and prednisone
Hi everyone, There's a summer COVID surge happening here in the US. I'm just wondering if there is anything I should know about COVID and pred. If I get COVID, does that affect how much pred I should take? If I am in a flare (I am actually in a mild flare right now) and I get COVID, then what do I

UCLH waiting time before IVF ?
hello, last Thursday we got semen results and it was a shock as all parameters are below the normal ranges and it was mentioned that ICSI would be suitable. We are a little bit lost. Our GP referred us to UCLH fertility clinic, is there someone that experienced this already and what is the delay for

Covid and flu jab
What’s the experience of anyone who has taken covid vaccination and flu jab at the same time? I have heard(whether it be true or not), that having the jabs 2 or 3 weeks apart could mean feeling less poorly etc. What’s been the experience out there, especially for those who have had jabs(covid and flu

First time Ruxolitinib and what to make note of, from Vietnam - a case of interest/study
I am writing on behalf of my mother who was diagnosed with PV back in 2002. The symptoms started with her in 2001 but it took over 1 year for my mother to get to the right hospital, a specialized Hematologic hospital of the Ho Chi Minh City and she was put on HU since then, until recently, as a BMB showed

First IVF Cyle - Endo sufferer - What should I be doing to prepare?
Hi All! Just looking for some advice about what to do prior to a IVF cycle. Bit of background… I have stage 4 endometriosis, kissing ovaries, 5cm cyst on one ovary and a small fibroid. My partner and I have been TTC for 6 years. The years of lack of success led to a lot of weight gain as I took

Solifenacin
Hi everyone. Here again. After a few months of almost normal life it seems the Solifenacin has stopped working. I am only on 5mg but am reluctant to take the 10mg as the lower one causes constipation for which I have to have laxitives. On a high fibre diet but with plenty of fruit and veg. This
