When to start stims?

Hi everyone! I just wondered if anyone has experience in an ICSI cycle of taking clomiphene from day 2 but not starting stim injections until several days later? I am currently having treatment abroad due to cost and this is the protocol they have put me on, so today on day 6 I only have one follicle. When I have done cycles in the UK I have started injections on day 2 with the clomiphene and by this sort of time I’m usually showing 4/5 follicles. I’m finishing the clomiphene and going back to the clinic on Thursday morning when I suspect they will cancel the cycle. Thanks in advance x

My clinic normally starts stims within 3 days of starting your period I think. What's clomiphene used for?

They have said the clomifene makes the follicles be selected and the injections then make them grow. So none have been selected this month so there is nothing to grow
