Atrial tachycardia
Hi, I have just been diagnosed with atrial tachycardia and atrial ectopic salvo runs. This came through via letter after my implantable loop recorder picked it up. Please can anyone give me any info? There's not much online relating to adults. Is this something that's treated? It sure feels dangerous

Hopeless...nothing will get better
Hi everyone. I have been a long time sufferer of depression and anxiety (both diagnosed, and treated with meds and psychotherapy). I'm a 47 year old man, married over 20 years, and the only thing that makes my life worth living anymore is my 11 year old daughter, that I love more than life itself. I'm

Back In AF.
Hi everyone. After 9 days in NSR I woke up this morning back in AF. It certainly seems that food is one of my triggers, I didn't get home from work till 20.30 last night had my evening meal and went to bed at about 22.30. I'm thinking of having my main meal at dinner time and just having a snack for

Good afternoon, I have a question relating to the use of NOAC, specifically, Apixaban. I had a recent AF event, which is one of two that I have had over the last 3 years, I am 51. I have been advised that I need to take anticoagulant therapy in order to reduce my risk of Strokes (Unfortunately genetics

Would these be Afib ?
Hi everyone. I am 39, mother of 2, I started having palpitations this year. I august had 24 h ECG that showed several supra ventricular extrasystols and I was given metoprolol 50 mg daily. I did not take it daily as it lowers my BP which is already low. Since last Thursday I experience daily episodes

Hypothyroidism and sick sinus syndrome
I find this forum really useful for explaining some of the things I've wondered about for the last 30 years. A couple of years ago my GP found I had an irregular heartbeat. I eventually saw a cardiologist who diagnosed sick sinus syndrome and said that I didn't need any treatment. The GP thought I

Apixaban
Hi All, I was diagnosed with a blood clot on my lung 3 weeks ago and have been put on Apixaban. I get an ache in my chest on and off through out the day and assume its a side effect of the drug as the hospital was not concerned when I mentioned it. Is it worth switching to Rivaroxaban instead?

I’m a 65-year-old male that has had three ablations none of them worked and a still have a fib. So the doctor put me on Tykosun and I’ve been feeling great for the last five months with no issues and no side effects or heart rate. However yesterday I took a nice one hour walk with my wife and my heart

For persons with IBS C
hi, I am on the Low FODMAP diet which does cause constipation. I have used a Mini "tens" device to stop my back pain and have found every time I use it I have to go to the loo, much more "comfortably" than usual. I wonder if this might help others having difficulty. I think most large chemists in UK

Ectopic beats which are persistent and a slow heart rate.
Hi, I suffer from ectopic beats, ventricular and supraventricular both of which I know are relatively harmless. However, Iam now experiencing longer runs of these (around thirty seconds) That is a normal beat allowed by a pause continully. D on't think it's SVT as it is not a fast rate, more a very

Flying after suffering a brain abscess
I suffered a left temporal brain abscess about 18 months ago. I've had set backs with my recovering but now feel fit enough to go on holiday. We've booked and will be going in a few days but it's a 5 hour flight and I'm worried about how it might effect me. Has anyone got any advise for me?
