Why don't Doctors recognise the chronic after effects of Meningitis?
Hi Everyone. So I'm sat watching the news and they are talking about the effects of 'Long Covid'. Doctors are actually recognising the chronic symptoms patients are experiencing and planning how to improve their care. Covid has been around how long? How about Doctors listening to the Chronic symptoms

Extreme Muscle Soreness DOMS and Stiffness after Lifting Weights or doing Stairs or Pull-ups or Hill Sprints.
I was an athlete and exercised intensely 5-6 days a week for 20 years before getting Hashimoto's 7 years ago. So I know well what is normal soreness and duration after a hard workout. The first "muscle symptoms" I noticed came a couple of years after my diagnosis. It came in the form of hip/knee stiffness

Anyone know what this could be on my smart watch ECG
So I am now on flecainide and Bisoprolol for AF and SVT. I have an Apple Watch that does my ECGs which my cardiologist has the results from. I have been experiencing strange beats that make me feel a bit funny. I have attached a picture just wondering wether anyone knows what it might be. It’s in sinus

New here - experiencing quadrigeminy, trigeminy and bigeminy
Hi, 49 year old woman here with a history of PVC's my entire adult life. They used to be very intermittent, I'd get an episode or 2 a day lasting a few minutes to an hour for a few months, then nothing for a year, etc. I was told not to worry about it and didn't. Now it's been worsening over 3 years

As I have developed another clot in my heart despite being on Apixaban for the last four years. it is now suggested a low molecular weight heparin for a month before doing a TOE has anyone had experience of this drug and any side effects as I have an intolerance to drugs in general.

Has anyone had meningitis more than once? How do you cope?
Hi, I was wondering if anyone has had meningitis more than once? I had meningococcal disease when I was 4 years old and lost most of my hearing in my left ear . New here so be gentle with me!
Hi just joined as have been diagnosed with Lupus in last few weeks, after 2 years of back and forth to gp. Eventually spoke to a consultant (couldn't see him because of covid) and he was no help at all, has made another appointment for January. In the meantime my symptoms seem to have escalated somewhat

Hi All, After many years having palpitations I have finally been diagnosed with AF. In the last 4 weeks, I went to a&e twice due to severe episodes. I was put on metoprolol 50mg twice a day and it seems to be working. I am having an ablation on Monday week and I would like to get feedback from people

Ovira TENS unit - works for me!
Hi, just wanted to post that I recently got an Ovira TENS unit after months of deliberating and reading product reviews, and I wish I’d bought it months ago! It has been doing a great job controlling my pain. I wore it while driving for two hours yesterday (seatbelts make my pain worse) and was far more

Continuous pain
Waiting for laparoscopy and changing to a combined pill. I'm in absolute agony continuously. I'm on gabapentin and mefenamic acid and paracetamol. I've been using a tens machine and hot water bottle. If any one has any suggestions to relieve pain I am really open at this point I'm just so fed up

My first AFib episode since diagnosis
Well it’s gone from if to when, I suppose I am now fully fletched member of the club. I woke up predawn on Monday with my heart running ahead of me. Calmly followed my GPs advice and took my usual meds and waited, no dice. Phoned my GP and waited for return call and waited. Was told to take another
