I have PV for 8 years and taking Hydroxycarbimine 1 G, asprin. I have just turned 70 and am eligible for the shingles vaccine. As this a live virus is it safe? Thanks

Very new on Bisoprolol and feeling rather dizzy, sick and headachy. Also very tired. Is this common?
I have been on Bisoprolol and Apixaban for 5 days now and am feeling rather dizzy, sick and headachy. Also very tired. Is this common? I realise that everyone is different but how long might it be before my body adjusts? I was having palpitations 25% of the time with my pulse up to 190 and then stopping

Really low heart rate
On August 24 of this year, After having what I thought was tachycardia for over 24 hours with a heart rate of 150 b/m, I ended up in the emergency room where it was determined I was having an SVT episode. That was resolved, surprisingly, by an IV of metoprolol. After that, my electro-physiologist increased

How do you deal with pain / not being taken seriously by GP?
I’ve been trying to get a diagnosis for years. My current GP sent me to get an ultrasound, but because they saw nothing abnormal, they stopped and didn’t offer me a laparoscopy. I’m getting so frustrated, this pain is not normal period pain like all Doctors seem to think it is. I can bearly walk when

Experiment using TENS machine with glove attachment to see if it helps with dexterity in hands
Today is day 2 of my trial with hubby using glove and TENS machine. It is supposed to be good for neuropathy so I wondered if it might help with whatever the problem is with his hands. After initial reluctance to put gloves on he promised to try for 10 minutes which he then extended to 20 then 30 minutes

4-and-a-bit-month Post Ablation Update
So, I've been posting this to help all the sport loving folks out there see what they might expect post-ablation. So just after three months I began to feel much better - I'm now doing all the weight-training, yoga and pilates I was able to do before. I can also walk up to five miles with little problem

Not Flutter After All

Hawthorn Berry certainly helps me with the occasional missed beats!
Hi All Hope this helps. I was a competitive cyclist from age 14 to 45 (70 now) and able to ride at 25 av. Then from 45 onwards rode with my own ability group at a decent pace. Then, of course, slightly slower each year! So, rode at 20 av at age 60 and 17 av at age 67 for example The missed beats started

Endo flare - Day 6...
Hi everyone, New here. I found myself having a massive flare lately... I was under GNRH for the past 4 years... and this year I have been referred to a specialist in the U.K. He decided that I needed to change my hormonotherapy (4y was too long). And I’m waiting for my surgery date.... (could take

Ablation recovery update
Good morning kind people, Just wanted to let you know how things are progressing, and for some advice please. It is now 9 weeks since I had my ablation, and as I have already posted, I have been having problems with my blood pressure dropping very low, and feeling as if I am going to pass out when ever

Hi brave people, I have just joined this forum and sympathise with those that can't get some relief. The blood to my brain was blocked off on one side for a few hours 12 years ago (Carotid Artery dissection) then 2 years later had meningitis, so my poor brain has had a bit of a bashing. I never had

Legs feel like wood
Sometimes I wake up during the night with my feet and calves feeling like wood. The only thing I've found to help is to get up and walk a bit or sit in this chair with my feet in a massager. If one used a tens device in bed would that help?
