Hi all,

So I’m awaiting an MRI scan as my last scan shower a significant change in circumstances, I was diagnosed with endo 5 years ago having gone threw the pain for 12 I was also diagnosed with Adenomyosis 10 months ago over the last 6 months the pain has been unbearable to the point Iv been out on loads of pain medication, referred for extra scan resulting in me needing an urgant MRI

What I’m asking is if anyone had tried or would recommend the tens machines, I’m asking this as I’m currently carrying around my hot water bottle all the time and having to use it all the time in work which isn’t appropriate with my job

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Thanks

Hi,

I’m sorry to hear your in pain.

I got a tens machine. It is very relaxing and easier to hide. But in my case it only works while I have it on.

The manual says that you can do sessions of 4h a day and that should help. But if I don’t have it on the pain comes back.

If the pain is a lot, sometimes it doesn’t help much.

But it does wonders. And helps a lot with the back pain and pain around the ovaries.

The one I have requires battery, the big square ones. I use one battery a day during my period. But I use it all day. So I also got a battery charger.

Another thing that may help is getting heat patches since they are hidden away and can last a whole day at work.

Sometimes I used to have the tens on the lower back and the heat patch on the lower belly if the pain was too much.

And I’d try my best to take pain killers only in the last case scenario since they make me dumb.

Yes! Would totally recommend a tens machine. Doesn’t always work for me. When the pain is really bad I find that basically nothing helps, but when it’s mid level pain I find it really helpful. I have the tenscare ova one (can get it on amazon, not expensive really) and it’s great because it’s portable and clips to your clothes
