Hawthorn Berry certainly helps me with the occasional missed beats!

Hi All

Hope this helps.

I was a competitive cyclist from age 14 to 45 (70 now) and able to ride at 25 av.

Then from 45 onwards rode with my own ability group at a decent pace.

Then, of course, slightly slower each year!

So, rode at 20 av at age 60 and 17 av at age 67 for example

The missed beats started about 20 years ago and was looking for an answer. Some beats were 'elongated'

Tried lots of stuff, not much helped

Until I tried Hawthorn Berry from H+B!

There are 2 versions - Complete comes in 565 mgs tabs and Extract in 150 mgs

The Complete certainly sorted the missed beats after about 2 weeks and I've used them a few times since, when the missed beats came back

I remember going on hol in 05 and forgetting to take them with me - and the missed beats started up again

Waited till I got back and took them for a few days and the missed beats went!

Thanks

I have read that they are good for hypertension. Lower blood pressure. Anybody know how you can make it yourself. Surfeit of hawthorn berries. It is expensive to buy golf such a common berry.

According to Very wellhealth.com:

Fresh hawthorn can be prepared as a tincture, a concentrated liquid herbal extract, and an infusion, which is basically a tea. In his book, "The New Healing Herbs," herbal expert Michael Castleman says to take one teaspoon of a homemade tincture every morning and evening for several weeks. To prepare an infusion, use two teaspoons of crushed leaves or fruit per cup of boiling water and steep for 20 minutes; drink up to two cups a Day.

BUT there were lots of warnings about drug interactions and it stressed about talking to your medical provider. Also the seeds contain cyanide (as do apple seeds apparently! ). SO TREAT IT WITH RESPECT,

I purchase dried hawthorn berry from Mountain Rose Herbs or from bulk dept at local health food store. I put a cup in a mason jar and cover with brandy + an inch. Leave for at least a month or two (longer the better) and then strain and put in a jar and use a tsp 1-3 x daily in some water. The small amount of alcohol has never caused a problem for me. I take it to keep my heart strong. If I get AF I also take a dropperful of an herb called Motherwort everal times a day. I have studied herbs so I feel confident in them.

Hawthorne helps to stop me from having extra beats. I use Solaray Hawthorne Aerial Extract which has berries, leaves and flowers. It's very inexpensive. swansonvitamins.com/solaray...

Thanks for getting back to me!

I couldn't be much further. I'm in Kona, Hawaii. If it wasn't for Amazon we'd be sucking on tree bark to get our supplements.

Hi

Hawthorn Berry is a herb, not a medicine

It's like Turmeric or Garlic which help with a range of health stuff

Give it a try and see if it helps

Certainly eliminated my missed beats some time ago

(My BP has never been high though)

Good luck!

Hi ! Do you take it daily? Or just when you need it? How much do you take and how many times a day ? I have PVCs I’m trying to treat naturally..

Hi NikiI haven't needed to take it for 4 years now, when I got some missed beats

Took hawthorn 'complete' for a couple of weeks and thankfully I was ok again

All the best
