how long 'til omeprazole starts working?
How long does it take omeprazole to start working at reducing acid reflux?. I've been on it for 4 days and haven't really felt improvement. Thanks.

Struggling today
I don't post often, I will answer questions but actually saying how I'm feeling I have stopped because nobody wants to hear it. Years of severe pain have taken their toll, I used to be so different and sometimes think that I deserve this life because I used to hear other people talk about pain and tell

Omeprazole and Edoxaban
I have been told that Edoxaban (anti coagulant) damages my stomach and therefore I'm advised to take Omeprazole. Omeprazole makes me feel sick. Does anyone else take Edoxaban without any stomach calming drugs? Ogilvie

New diagnosis, working on getting meds right
I suspect this is likely to be a work-in-progress forever as the goalposts keep moving, but I thought I'd ask anyway. I've been on Qvar 50 2 puffs twice a day since mid-May, and I finally got to actually see the respiratory nurse for the first time since March, and she's increased it to 3 puffs twice

Dizziness after eating
Why do I feel dizzy after eating? I have had Polycythemia vera for about six years and take Hydroxycarbomide, aspirin, lacidipine and omeprazole - my blood pressure ranges between low and high! Is it just the blood rushing to my stomach leaving my brain?

Ok? So I went to A&E due to the pain and swelling on my knee. Guess what?? The consultant refused to see me even when I explained that I had difficulty sleeping and the pain level made me feel nauseous at times and referred me back to my GP as they already knew about the problem and should refer me

Wierd/altered mental state during migraine attack
Hi, I've just had a killer of a migraine. Whilst I'm used to all sorts of strange stuff going on, this was really quite scary. I was super emotional, kept crying, and then got quite paranoid, convinced my husband was trying to poison me, to the point that I wouldn't drink anything he brought me! I

Acidophilus tablets and reflux
Hi all, I am 7yrs post Ivor Lewis, I've had so much trouble with my digestive system I'm at my wits end. I am on 40mg omeprazole but I'd like to come off them altogether if possible ( re: fear of stomach cancer). I've been told that maybe taking acidophilus tablets might help with acid / bile reflux

Pleurisy? Long post
Hi, new here. 6 weeks ago I went to A&E with severe chest/ left rib pain and vomiting. Without performing an x-ray on me, I was told that it was a spinal disc that was protruding into my rib cage. They said this could have been as a result of giving birth just 9 weeks ago and my posture changing? I was

Bronchiectasis sufferers do you get this ?
I have been up and down again the last couple of days, possibly an infection coming on, the thing is I have been getting a horrible taste in my mouth which I can only describe as a metal/iron type of taste if that makes sense, I've also had a lot of bloating in my stomach the last couple of weeks, which

A bad mix of reflux and HP - recent ongoing issues
Hi there, I am the new addition to the community! To make long story short(er) - One day I started to have this sensation of something stuck in my throat, this was end of May. Visited A&E and I was told it was a scratch by some food and it should go away itself. Well, it did not. After few weeks of

Sertraline and diarrhoea
Has anyone else found that sertraline has given them diarrhoea that lasts several weeks? I'm hoping for reassurance that it will settle down. I was fine on 50 mg, stomach settled, the GP increased the dose to 100 mg and that caused diarrhoea which didn't go. Was prescribed omeprazole to help but that
