Stronger anti inflammatory medication than naproxen
I’m currently taking naproxen and I find it helpful but it’s not helping enough. I take 2 x 250 mg twice a day. I am worried about increasing and the effects on my stomach. Any suggestions of stronger meds would be appreciated. It would be good to hear how other anti inflammatories are working for other

Intro and little rant 😬
Hi lovely peeps, I'm Dawn and new to this group. I was diagnosed in 2018 with Fibro, suffered a couple years before being diagnosed. It's such a horrible thing to have, aswell as being frustrating in all aspects. I dont have one specific area of pain, as I get a surprise every day as to where I'm

Silly question probably
Hi ,i was wondering how long it takes people for swelling (both knees in my case) to go fully down when taking naproxen. I have been taking 500mg per day split in two ,morning and then 12 hours later for the last nearly four days . I am finding it is working to some degree but its taking a very long

Asthma has been well controlled until January this year when my asthma flared up and stopped me from to doing day to day activities, my peak

I am confused and hope someone can help. Should I be taking omeprazole with hashimottos? Posts saying lack of acid, In stomach yet omezorapole stops acid. I have stopped smoking too. Always feel like I have a cold and nose blocked esp in morning. Throat always swollen just a bit of help would be great

Rheumy telephone appointment earlier
As most of you know I’ve been struggling despite the steroid injections into the knees and starting Sulfasalazine. I had my follow up with my rheumatologist earlier this afternoon and the upshot is that the steroid injections lasted all of three weeks. The Sulfasalazine she was hoping would have had

Omeprazole (again)
I’m on week 6 and due to start reducing next week. So far I’ve resisted GP, nurse and pharmacist who all said I should take Omeprazole. But I’ve now started getting what I think is indigestion in the evening. Is it normal to get this type of pred side effect 12 hours or so after talking it? I’m wondering

Omeprazole
I have been taking omepraxole 20mg around 8am daily. I find that the acid suppression effects lasts only until 4-5pm after which I can feel the acid secretion again. Is it same for other once a day users of omeprazole?

Help Please
I've been suffering with a bad flare up since the middle of April (pains on my right side and my intestines feel inflammed, lower back pain). I don't generally have a problem with my BM, very occassionally). I suffer these symptoms every day and feel totally drained and don't know what to to get this

thigtness in upper abdominal
Hi Beginning of June I suffered from indigestion which was basically thigtness in upper abdominal in the centre just below the rib cage. I feel full and tight after having little food. I don't have any acid reflux, nausea or lower abdominal pain or cramps. Its just the upper centre of the stomach that

Need a moan
Hello everyone, I had a laparoscopy and biopsy last week and am waiting for the results but from what the surgeon said it looks like I've got ovarian or primary peritoneal cancer, probably 3C. I know there is a lot of treatment out there so I'm trying to stay positive but finding it difficult as I feel

Coming off Qvar?
I realise this isn't the best place to ask about coming off a steroid inhaler, but I don't know where else to go other than my GPs' and it's quite hard to get through to them. I'm post-viral since March; maybe Covid, maybe not as it was too early for testing. The breathlessness and wheeze has just persisted

Omeprazole or not?
Hello everyone Your responses to my first question were so helpful and now I have one more to ask! Last week, I had the second appointment with a dr in the rheumatology department and he prescribed Omeprazole to be taken once a day to line my stomach. Apparently, I would be at risk of stomach ulcers

Management of symptoms?
Hi, I’m wondering how everyone else controls their symptoms? Doctors have prescribed me naproxen to take when I’m on my periods, but I’m finding I’m using this more often alongside paracetamol while I’m still waiting for an ultrasound. I often use cyclzine too for nausea. When I’m due to ovulate I
