I got my periods really late in life (age17/18), but every single one has been painful and heavy (and my cycle averages about 20 days

New diagnosis of Fibromyalgia
Hi, just had appointment with consultant and very confused. I was diagnosed with psoriatic arthritis 5 years ago at a different hospital as well as having osteoarthritis. I have been having a bad flare up for months now. Given my symptoms now he thinks I might have fibromyalgia, and possibly not psoriatic

Hypothyroid, coeliac, PMR - my journey to 0 pred
Diagnosed with PMR in 2017 and after a few months of not taking pred, I succumbed and my aches and pains mostly vanished. I was working in a high pressure environment then and was luckily able to keep working and attend my Pilates classes all the way through apart from a 6 week period during the first

Anagrelide or Peg Interferon
Hi everyone. Since having to give up Hydroxy nearly 2 years ago, because of side effects , I have been on aspirin and omeprazole only. That has worke until now, but I saw my haemotologist yesterday and , while the red count is still within a normal range, my platelets are now beginning to climb. The

Probiotics
Can anyone recommend a probiotic? I am stuck without a clear diagnosis. I have some IBS symptoms but because of Covid can't have a stool sample test. I can have several lovely ache free weeks then bang diarrhoea and in bed. Have been reading and probiotics are recommended but I will have to check they

Endo diagnosed and mild pain or cycles that aren't as bad?
Has anyone had a definitive diagnosis of endo but only had mild pain or cycles where pain does not seem as bad? I'm having a lap in next few months and this month I just started bleeding but apart from waking at 3am night before last - taking 500mg naproxen and hot water bottle - I then managed to get

Omeprazole
I am now down to 1 mg on Prednisolone and all through my journey I have not had any relapses. Can I ask, If you are also down to 1 mg can you please let me know whether you are still taking Omeprazole and also Alendronic acid. I was wondering whether it was necessary now on a low dose of steroids?

Continuing reflux
Hi all, Is there anyone who has found that as the time goes on ( 7yrs post op ), that reflux, heartburn is more frequent ? I seem to be experiencing heartburn on a more daily basis for the last 2 weeks, I’m waking up with it again, as the day goes on it gets better, but it’s beginning to worry me now

Just wondering if anyone else is having serious heartburn problems since the IV ranitidine is no longer available pre treatment. I now get two tablets (plus the usual dexamethazone and antihistimine before treatment) something like omeprazole one hour before chemo. This is the only thing that has changed

RA flares and chest pains (Costochondritis)
Has anyone else with RA experienced costochondritis when flaring? It seems that RA can cause it.. - now when I have a flare, I also get the severe chest pains, which come and go away again next day.. - Naproxen eases it . Just be interested to see if there's anyone else with the same..!

Why do we get a whammy of conditions all at once?
What a time I am having... after pushing a trolley around the supermarket ( my home delivery arrived with less than half my weekly order which meant absolutely no meat or fish at all and only veg was broccoli!) then next day... bam... my wrist was in great pain and starting to swell again. I started

Cows milk allergy?
Hi all. So I will try to cut a long story short. My lo is nearly 17 weeks. Has been on nutramigen. Didnt work. Then gaviscon which helped for a few weeks . Then omeprazole which made her worse. Now on Aptamil Pepti which seemed to work. But now last couple of days started to be more agitated again.

When to stop taking Omeprazole?
I have just stopped taking Prednisolone- yippee. As long as this remains the case, I am only taking 15mg MTX once a week, Alendronic Acid once a week and Warfarin / a Statin at night. I have had no issues whatsoever with acid reflux so I’m wondering whether I could leave off the Omeprazole. I emailed
