Just wondering if anyone else is having serious heartburn problems since the IV ranitidine is no longer available pre treatment. I now get two tablets (plus the usual dexamethazone and antihistimine before treatment) something like omeprazole one hour before chemo. This is the only thing that has changed. Unfortunately this means two hours of treatment instead of one.

Good morning. I don’t have IV treatment (yet) but with Ibrance I have terrible heartburn. I take Rabeprazole DR 20 mg tablet. I’m supposed to take 1 in morning and 1 in early evening, but it works so well for me I just take in the morning. If I forget to take it I can make it through the day but by day 2 I pay dearly. According to my oncologist this is the Cadillac drug for heartburn. I hope you find something that helps. I can’t imagine IV treatment AND heartburn. Good luck

Many thanks for the reply. I am in the UK and think you are in the U S. is this a prescription only drug?
