Has anyone had a definitive diagnosis of endo but only had mild pain or cycles where pain does not seem as bad?
I'm having a lap in next few months and this month I just started bleeding but apart from waking at 3am night before last - taking 500mg naproxen and hot water bottle - I then managed to get back to sleep. Yesterday's pain was mild and I slept fine last night.
I'm totally doubting myself!

Hi yes this sounds like me , I have bad cramps day before my period & maybe the first few day , then sometimes during ovulation slight aches but I wouldn’t say my pain was that bad to have suspected any issues like endometriosis,
I was diagnosed last year during a laparoscopy to remove a large cyst which turned out to be an endometrioma & then told I have endo on both ovaries .
I would say my main symptoms looking back would be the bowel issues I suffer like pressure going to the toilet & pains whilst going.
I think everyone is different like one of the main symptoms is listed as heavy periods , but mine never are & are short cycles . Hope this helps x
I have bowel symptoms also, but find it hard to distinguish was may be pelvic related or what is purely IBS.
For the first time in quite a while this period has not been as awful (only woken up once - two nights ago - and back to sleep with naproxen/heat - is it even normal for period pain to wake you up - who knows?)... I know of course i should be pleased - I am! But it was just that it reinforced my fear of a pointless laparoscopy and possibility of creating more adhesions etc etc.
I think i just have to accept that the lap could well find nothing, but it could also find endo - both being a possibility.
This is a bizarre journey! I hope you are doing well nethertheless and again thank you so much for your reply!! x
Hi there, I was curious did you go through with the lap? And if so, did they find endo? I’m having similar symptoms as you and the doubting can be so frustrating!
