Why do we get a whammy of conditions all at once?

What a time I am having... after pushing a trolley around the supermarket ( my home delivery arrived with less than half my weekly order which meant absolutely no meat or fish at all and only veg was broccoli!) then next day... bam... my wrist was in great pain and starting to swell again. I started taking Naproxen and paracetamol and the pain was very bad, disturbed sleep, difficulty dressing, couldn’t wash hair, etc. Then few days later a huge pain in my jaw and trouble eating ( I had flown on a plane few weeks earlier and turbulence had caused my ear to feel blocked... but no pain) waited two days to get a phone consult with my GP. Diagnosed ear infection and started antibiotics. I stopped my Benepali. Then third day Shingles! Phoned 111 and the service was fabulous, call back from an out of hours medical adviser and a prescription for anti virals was sent to my chosen pharmacy immediately. Husband drove me straight there and medication started! Why does it happen all at once????

Well that’s interesting as I have barely been out apart from a dog walk. The pharmacy tonight was within a large Sainsburys and I have never seen the carpark so busy! I am trying to just get our food delivered and after being so badly let down by a large supermarket I now choose Abel and Cole... few weeks in they have been excellent!

Oh poor you, I think most of us seem to get those times in our lives when anything that can go wrong does and it does seem to escalate one thing after another. Thankfully my home deliveries have in the main been OK but as I have been shielding all the way through this I couldn't go into a supermarket anyway. I hope it all stops going wrong for you soon, I had a spell of it in the summer, found myself getting up each day and saying out loud "OK what are you going to hit me with today", good job no one could hear me or they might have thought I had gone mad talking to myself. Probably shouldn't say this but all seems settled at the moment.

Fingers crossed for you that things do settle down.

Really feel for you seems you've got more than your fair share. Online groceries are a nightmare if half your order missing. I've got a Sainsbury one coming this pm and already they've told me some items are missing so tomorrow I'll have to go out for them and hope the queues aren't too bad. Take care and hope you're well soon x
