Alternative to Naproxen
Good morning all, hope you are coping well. I recently had surgery for Spinal Stenosis in my lower back, but on coming out of hospital developed a dvt in my leg. Due to this blood clot I have been put on Rivaroxaban (blood thinners). Because of this blood thinner I have had to come off of Naproxen (

Post ablation pain and severe indigestion
Hello all, I had my ablation a week ago under general anaesthetic. As soon as I woke up I felt quite severe chest pain. Laying flat for 3 hours was agony and the pain increased. Was given morphine and a echo which was normal. Was discharged the same day even though I still had chest pain (described as

No to Lansoprazole
Well my GP is not prepared to issue me a prescription for Lansoprazole as she says my results from the endoscopy having been on esomeprazole for now over 3 and a half years prove that it is effective and 30mg Lansoprazole may not be so . She is willing to reconsider if the GI consultant says different

Lansoprazole ?
My GI consultant spoke to me about this as an alternative to esomeprazole. He said it was more effective , worked quicker and was less likely to interact with other medications If anyone has found this to be the case, please could you let me know, or either way. Currently I am finding that I need

Very relieved .......
I am very relieved to say that the results of the biopsy from my recent endoscopy querying suspected Barretts have come back as negative. All other biopsy also clear. I know I am extremely lucky , it has been a very worrying time and it was such a relief to be able to tell my son as well. I have

QUICK TAPER; CRP RISING STEADILY; FLARING
As suspected, the very quick taper rheumy thought up (2.5 mg per week til I get to 10, then reducing 1 mg per month), has caused a flare and I'm in pre-PMR pain - almost). Currently at 12 mg but should be down to 9 by now, if I was to go with her guidelines. GP refuses to let me up the pred saying "it's

High dose esomeprazole for Hiatus hernia
So discussion with GP today before my GI Appointment tomorrow and she suggests that a high dose of esomeprazole 40mg twice a day for a couple of months might be appropriate. Has anyone had this dosage for a hiatus hernia and if so how effective might it likely to be ? It's not going to cure the
