I've just had a Dexa scan and the lady operating the machinery said at first glance it all looks good which was lovely to hear.. last time I had one it was three years ago and was all brilliant.
I frolicked out and was full of joy as usual.
I have been in pain all over for weeks now and whatever I do it won't go away.
I do the Parrotsatethemall and Ibuprofen thing but still in pain.
I did a 2500 step walk the other day and it was awful with my legs, calves, hands and hips really giving me some grief.
I am thinking of chasing for Methotrexate now or anything else you lovely folks have taken that works......
Naproxen?
I did lose too much weight on purpose recently and everyone was concerned that I had the big nasty one but no... I am good at dieting and am now 167 pounds again
Perhaps you should stay at 6 at least if you are in pain and not taper, you may need to go up higher. Paracetamol and ibuprofen will not help if it is PMR pain!
Last October I was in so much pain when carrying anything I invested in a rollator - a fancy, trendy one - if only to use when needing to carry shopping on foot. I have a folding sack trolley for when I do shopping with the car. I have actually got to the stage where carrying half a kilo of toms and a litre of milk doesn't result in pain for the rest of the day so it hasn't been used but it is there, because one day I will need it.
Thanks though. I have seen a few cool ones around but not yet I did have one of those bags on wheels shopping carts but it broke.
We get our shopping delivered by Tesco and have done for about 5 years. It is so good. Our top up shop is usually Marks and Spencer food hall up the road from us and we get a taxi up and back
I do like wandering around and love Plymouth Hoe and the promenade. I'd love to move to Bath which is where OH and I met. I had a pub in the city centre.
There is a luxury retirement flats place which used to be the Empire Hotel and has "secret gardens" at the back opposite is Parade Gardens which is all flat and a beautiful walk. We got married there. It's lovely as Bath residents get in free and others pay....It's also free of knuckle draggers.
We live in a lovely neighbourhood here but Bath does call....often
True - that is an advantage of the non-dairy stuff I suppose, I still have to be convinced it saves the world and is not highly processed food ...
Going to fetch the necessary in the village gets me out for the walk that really isn't enticing at present! After a week with high summer temps it all reverted to late winter and stuck that way under a swirl of cloud that has offered everything from inches of snow to thunder! It reaches all the way to Tuscany.
"I still have to be convinced it saves the world and is not highly processed food ... " Me too. I'm not a drum banging vegan and surprise a lot of people when they find out. I have been a vegetablearian for decades ... 40 + years and then one day went off butter, milk and so on.
I don't think vegan's swear as much as me
Oh you are lucky on weather! It's so chronic here.
Been a bit chronic here this year - for over a year it has alternated between 3 or 4C (or more) too warm or too cool. Overall the temps look "average" - but they are not!
I was in Bozen last week for a hospital appointment then had lunch in the open air before getting the train home. I declined the dessert of the day (strawberry soup with asparagus gelato) as ridiculously expensive and went round the corner for a takeaway gelato for less than 1/4 of the price. I was offered a taste of their Oreo gelato - and blagged a taste of the vegan version. I though the vegan version was better than the "normal" one! Seemed reasonable since Oreos are vegan anyway!
