Advice on medication
Over the last couple of weeks I have had pains in my stomach and for longer than that regular bladder problems. Always feeling I need to go to the toilet. I am on 3.5 mg of prednisolone and am wondering if it has anything to do with the other pills I am taking each day. 1 -20 mg omeprazole, 1 - 1000

Bowel inflammation - any link to PMR/GCA?
I have had problems with diarrhoea for several years now. I have had bad reactions in the past to sertraline (antidepressant) and amoxillin, with constant diarrhoea for several months. However my calprotectin levels (measuring gut inflammation) were normal. Since diagnosis I have been getting frequent

Omeprazole and Acid Reflux after Gastroscopy
I have been having digestive issues since May, lots of indigestion, acid reflux, belching etc. It comes and goes, sometimes good, sometime not, I would say I feel unwell 50% of the time. I was referred to a gastroenterologist. I had a colonoscopy last year and all was clear. Gastro decided that I

omeprazole and vertigo/dizziness
Hello. Has anybody else had issues with omeprazole giving them awful dizziness? I have persevered , been reduced to the 10 mg capsules, and still feel like I'm on a roundabout . Are there any other ppi meds I could change to that don't have this wretched side effect?! And yes, my bed is propped up so

Sever hip/ back pain endo and cyst
Following emergency surgery 18 months ago for a burst ovarian abscess I am not waiting for surgery for endo as I have a couple of cysts which are staying out the largest one is endometria of 7cm and ablation at the same time. As I had a laparotomy my consultant has waited for further surgery as it’s

Acid Reflux and Asthma
Hi everyone, I have asthma off and on and have had all sorts of tests over the last year. It was made worse by Covid and getting a bit older (now 61). Otherwise I'm quite active. The main feature seems to be many years of acid reflux and I have a small hiatus hernia at the root of that. I am on omeprazole

NSAIDS and Afib.
After a concussion last January, I started taking Naproxen regularly. AND I started having break-thru Afib episodes. My docs KNEw I was taking this but said nothing. My cardiologist who knows I have Afib said nothing. So, I read about it and yep, people with Afib are cautioned NOT to take NSAIDS!!!

I haven’t been on a while thought I’d rant as I’ve been a bit low lately
I haven’t been on here for a while, I’ve been so busy and I remembered why I joined because it really does help me get through this! Knowing people understand. I am suffering massively to keep on top of my work load. My joints are constantly swollen and I’m in so much pain. My pregablin isn’t working

Night sweats again
Hi all, I have reviewed many posts for answers on this but symptoms and underlying issues are variable and so posts are inconclusive. I have SLE and Sjogrens. I also have drenching night sweats. Here's my summary: 1) I'm male, so they're not menopausal! 2) My medication has been stable for years: Hydroxychloroquine

Tezepelumab/Spirometry with Reversibility
Hi, hope everyone is managing well. I’m just looking to hear others experiences if possible. I’m quite complex and don’t show a high FeNO and spirometry is normal and my asthma is driven by neutrophils for inflammation. Best peak flow is 440, hovering around 220-350 - 220 is pre meds in the morning

Hello, can you help me please
I've been up the hospital today having scans as I'm in a lot of pain walking, they think I have chipped a bone in my hip, I have been given morphine and naproxen tablets. I asked the Doctor if Naproxen was a safe anti inflammatory to take because of my RLS, he laughed in my face and told me medications

omeprazole long term
Hello, advice please on long term use of Omeprazole, one 20mgs a day. I've been on Omeprazole for years now as I suffer from GERD. I recently asked my consultant about coming off Omeprazole but he stated as it is such a low dosage, to keep taking. There is so much on the internet about this medication

Thanks for Omeprazole query replies
Thank you to everyone who replied to my queries about Omeprazole. I’m afraid I haven’t been able to respond to all of them individually - there have been 53 so far and it felt a bit overwhelming - but thank you all for your suggestions and shared experiences. They are much appreciated and benefited

omeprazole query
is it advisable to keep taking Omeprazole before taking prednisolone as my doctor prescribes, or would breakfast eating beforehand be as effective? (In the interests of taking less drugs than absolutely necessary).
