Severe limb pain with weakness causing inability to use! side effects from Xgeva - first time after a year of monthly shots
Thought I should post this in case anyone else here ever experiences the same: We just went through a VERY scary night!! Pain and weakness began in my husband's R arm, where he had his Xgeva shot 3 days ago. (he said the shot really stung, and that had never happened before) That pain increased so

Pain symptoms advice
I’m hoping someone can tell me if I’m crazy or not. I have some conflicting information from consultant, one who did my laparoscopy said I had very severe endometriosis but the other consultant said the pictures looked more like pelvic inflammatory disease with some endo possible. Anyway that’s the back

Confusion, depression and losing the will to live
Hey ladies. So, back on 4th June, I had my diagnostic laparoscopy to potentially diagnose endometriosis. I ended up having to stay overnight (was meant to be a day case) as I wasn’t coping with dizziness - had to get up to try the toilet and almost faceplanted the floor - and already kept bursting into

Endo relief in this heat!
So usually when I start getting endo pains, I reach for my heat pad but as it’s been 30+ degrees today it’s been far too hot! I find that over the counter medication (paracetamol, ibuprofen, cocodamol and naproxen being amongst those I have tried) don’t actually help with the pain and I’m reluctant to

Stress & flare up
Good morning, as we are going through a particularly stressful house move, I find this morning that both my hands & wrists, while always being painful are absolute purgatory this morning. Both are “bandaged up” soaked in voltarol gel & I took a naproxen last night. This morning I took a prednisolone

Fed up
Does anyone know if there are any injections or tablets you can get to relax tense muscles. My whole body is tense and seems to be spasming. As I am only 21 my Doctors are basically refusing to prescribed anything stronger than naproxen. The tension is from severe stress/ anxiety from trauma. I am awaiting

Back and hip pain with endo
Hi all, this is my first time posting on here so pretty new to it all. I’ve recently been told by my gynaecologist that she is 99% sure I have endo, I’m awaiting a laparoscopy and getting the Mirena device fitted at the same time. I’ve had bother the last year or two when it comes to my period with heavy

Why so much pain without diagnosis
I actually feel like I'm going mad...the pain wakes me up every single night with my wrist and leg throbbing, then the first few hours of the day the most awful pain in my feet, ankles, wrists and kneck. I completed a trial in January for RA and have been left to it since, I wake up every single day

Bust cysts, fibroids, bulky uterus, hysteroscopy and lost my job 😭
Hiya don’t know if anyone can help or relate to this, first time posting but here goes! So I’ve been back and forth with the gp and hospital for the last 2 weeks. All started with agonising pain in my right side of tummy which sent me to hospital, I was prepped for surgery as they believed it was

Head tightness and pressure
Guys as I’ve mentioned in earlier posts ive has constant head pressure and tightness since 4 months with the odd headache here and there. I’m injecting alternate day hydroxycobalmin since the past couple of weeks and I’m hoping for some relief. I’ve noticed that the day after my shot, I have the tightness

Pred. side effect - palpitations
Hello All, I started with a right hip problem in March which was diagnosed as arthritic, so was thus prescribed Naproxen which duly relieved a lot of the pain.A week after that bilateral shoulder pain gradually appeared which went on for a month until the blood test showed the raised markers

Doctors Appointment Today
Morning everyone, Hope you are well, I finally get to see my own doctor today at 5pm (waiting list for him was 3 weeks!) and I’m so overwhelmed! After the last couple of doctors repeating bloods when I’ve been giving all my symptoms over with no referral I really hope today isn’t going to be the same

Sciatica 😩
Hi, I have sciatica at the moment and is so dreadfully painful. I’ve been given amytriptiline to take at night which is fine but I’m so sore during the day. I’m on naproxen and I’ve taken paracetamol on top so hopefully it will kick in. Any suggestions? Thanks Sarah

New local hospital consultant
Hey, So today I saw my new local hospital consultant. ( the last one was rubbish). She was a nice lady. She looked at my joints and said I was in a small flare. Which I had thought because my hands have been terrible for a while now. She asked if I wanted steroid inejction but I said no as I wasn’t

2 year symptom question, help
Hi all, I wanted to know and would like your advice on PMR. I know what it is, But NO Dr I have ever seen has mentioned it to me when I talk about my symptoms to them. About three years ago, I had to endure neck surgery for my C3-C7 discs. Right after my surgery I complained of pain and stiffness in

Pain clinic fail.....😖 (long rant sorry)
I had an appointment with the pain clinic consultant last week after being seen by his registrar to get my pain medication sorted out. I’ve had chronic pain since a spontaneous Sacral fracture five years ago. I take Naproxen, Nortriptyline, Co-Codamol and Butrans patches. These had all been prescribed
