Recently diagnosed endometriosis

Hi I’ve recently been diagnosed with endometriosis after having a laparoscopy about 2 months ago and Ive got my follow up app next week with my consultant I just wondered what other people’s treatments were , I’m in pain everyday and i was taking naproxen before they found out I had endometriosis but didn’t seem to to touch me what other medications do people take for the pain ? Can’t believe how low this Illness makes me I use to be happy bubbly and now I proper struggle to stay happy when I’m in pain 24/7 .

Hi I understand as I use to be happy go lucky but illness drags you down.

I take codeine when I am really bad and morphine at A&E when I can’t control the pain.

Can you go to your GP and tell them you are struggling and need some medication to help you function?

I feel exactly the same way. I am really at the end of the road with it all. At the moment my doctor is trying me on pregabalin, I am literally working my way through pain meds to try and find one that works! Will let you know how it goes.

Wow- you got a follow up quickly! I had my lap in March and am yet to have the follow up (mid-Oct).

I take codeine but it makes me woozy and I can’t drive or do anything useful on it.
