My 18 year-old daughter is severely affected by the pain of endometriosis. She currently takes paracetamol, voltarol /naproxen. However, they seem to be of limited help. Could anyone share with me succesful experiences with pain killers? I am considering taking her to a pain clinic but not sure how

QUICK TAPER; CRP RISING STEADILY; FLARING
As suspected, the very quick taper rheumy thought up (2.5 mg per week til I get to 10, then reducing 1 mg per month), has caused a flare and I'm in pre-PMR pain - almost). Currently at 12 mg but should be down to 9 by now, if I was to go with her guidelines. GP refuses to let me up the pred saying "it's

Tapering - an update
This is an update from my last post 7 days ago. As I mentioned last time, I had a Face2face appt with the GP yesterday. Managed to get in and out of the car and travel to and from ok. Hadn’t met the Gp before. Have only spoken on the phone twice, so there’s no previous continuity. I explained about my

Update to anyone interested
Hello, still in pain and still struggling to get a correct diagnosis. My long awaited referral with a specialist Rheumatologist in Oxford lead to yet more insistence that I have fibromyalgia. I don't have fatigue, brain fog, depression, any stomach disorders...just pain in the neck, girdles and legs

Advice please
Hi everyone, I’m fairly new to this group and was worried about posting but I’m feeling so lost. I am waiting on a diagnostic laparoscopy for potential endo. Pelvic pain started around a year and a half ago. I have had an internal ultrasound which only showed a small intramural fibroid but I was told

Can anyone shed some light on Anti CCP antibodies result?
Hi everyone, my name is Claire. I’ve just received back some blood test results (Rheumatoid Factor and Anti CCP antibodies). The Rheumatoid Factor came back negative but the Anti CCP came back as 10.4 K/UL. The test states that normal range is under 2.9 K/Ul yet mine is over 3 times higher. The last

Tapering - have I overshot?
As per my bio. I was diagnosed with PMR in Sept 2023 and started on 15mg of Pred. Have been tapering at 4 week intervals from 15 to 12.5, then to 10 then 9 and then 8. So far so good. However, about 5 weeks ago I strained my back quite badly. Two telephone consultations with GP. At first, he prescribed

Hi I collected my first prescription for T3 Liothyronine 20 mg today. All the instructions on the box tell me is to take one tablet a day. I read the instructions inside and they just say to take exactly as instructed by doctor or pharmacist. So does it matter when the tablet is taken or if it is
