Mycophenolate
750mgs mane 500mgs nocte Prednisolone 5mgs OD. I’m concerned the efficacy of theJab will be reduced. How long, if recommended, can I omit the above medication or will I be at risk of a “flare” up of my Autoimmune Hepatitis? I await your response.

Lupus and Heart Disease: Why You’re at Increased Risk
“There is reason to believe that medications, such as hydroxychloroquine, methotrexate, or
mycophenolate
mofetil, each of which are used for different presentations of lupus, can decrease heart risk by decreasing inflammation in the system,” says Dr. Fields.

When testing doesn’t give an answer..what next
They treated 22 PACA patients with an immunosuppressive drug called
Mycophenolate
, which reduces the immune response that causes the ataxia. This treatment is expected to prevent further damage to the cerebellum and salvage any sick cells.

Scared, Muscle Aches, Progression
I'm on the highest dose of
mycophenolate
mofetil and have been on this dose increasing for 6 months but my muscle weakness is a lot worse. I understand there is no cure. My rheumatologist says we can put it to sleep. But does this mean the skin tightening etc will still continue?

I didn't tolerate Methotrexate, Azathioprine and got a rash with
Mycophenolate
. All this time I have been up and down the steroid ladder - and have been taking 30mgs for sometime now. I now look like a chipmunk with chubby cheeks and want to cry every time I look in the mirror.

Steroid sparers
I posted a few weeks ago to ask if anyone had been given
Mycophenolate
so Tocilizumab could be withdrawn. I only got a couple of replies so I guess not many have. I gave them a try and felt as though I was back to pre diagnosis. Rheumatologist said to try again more slowly. Same again. Not for me.

Interstitial pneumonitis secondary to auto immune disease
I started a reducing dose of Prednisolone January 2021 and also
Mycophenolate
in January 2021. I dont get breathless or any other symptoms except occasional dry cough. Has any one else on the ILD forum had experience of these meds and most importantly do they work ??

A problem shared…
My doctor has now recommended that I take
Mycophenolate
or Methotrexate- which would be fine if I was not trying to get pregnant. The additional complication is that I am nearly 37… so after a potential year of medication… am I likely to fall pregnant… as I do not have nature on my side.

Methotrexate,

, Azathioprine, Ciclosporin, Leflunomide, Tacrolimus. Patients on Steroids-10mg or more of Prednisolone for over a month. I have tried to get the spellings right and hope this is useful.

I’ve had bad reactions to hydroxychloroqine in the past as well, was ok with
mycophenolate
but over the years it had become less effective even at higher doses, hence the recent changes in meds. Thanks Jo

How did you know whether working was no longer plausible?
I'm on
mycophenolate
and was on methotrexate previously. I'm just very stuck and wondering how you decided (if you did) that working was no longer plausible for you. I've already cut my hours significantly.

Whopping antibodies after 3rd vaccine despite poor response earlier
For reference I am on 2g
Mycophenolate
Mofetil and 7mg steroids daily. Severely immunosuppressed, so I had a 3rd primary vaccine in late September.

Hello
I have just started
mycophenolate
to give that a try . I have been told that a lung transplant could be needed as the condition progresses. I must keep myself fit now . Does anyone have advice as it has to short bursts of exercise as my heart rate shoots up when my oxygen level drops .
