I am posting this for purely information relating to the immunosuppressed and Covid vaccination, it is a letter I received today from the Hospital. " Please note the third dose is part of your primary course of vaccination and is separate to a booster vaccination, which you will also be eligible for in six months after a third dose." Those eligible are on the following medications. Adalimumab, Etanercept, Certolizumab, Golimumab, Abatacept, Tocilizumab, Sarilumab, JAK inhibitors, Ustekinumab, Secukinumab, Ixekizumab, Guselkumab, Belimumab, Rituximab. Methotrexate, Mycophenolate, Azathioprine, Ciclosporin, Leflunomide, Tacrolimus. Patients on Steroids-10mg or more of Prednisolone for over a month. I have tried to get the spellings right and hope this is useful.

Thank you for posting that - very helpful. I’ve always been sure in my knowledge that, as I am severely immuno suppressed, I would be getting a fourth jab six months after the third, which was confirmed at my Practice. However, I hadn’t realised there was a list of medications

What a useful letter. It will clear up a lot of the confusion. Thanks for sharing.
I fit into that category but have been invited for a booster, not a third dose...
My invitation from the NHS said it was a 'booster 'too but when I attended for the jab i queried this and was told that it was a 'third ' dose and my booster would be 6 months later ! So ask when you go.
This was discussed previously - part is because the NHS software can't cope with the terminology. Bring it up at the appointment to be sure you are classified correctly.
My understanding is that you have to have actually been on the medication when you had your initial vaccinations to be classed as immunosuppressed and therefore having the third jab classed as a primary as opposed to a booster. My second vaccination was on the 21st May. I started my Pred on 28th May at 15 mgs, rising to 30 mgs on 7th July. Because my medication commenced after my vaccination I was not classed as immunosuppressed and my third vaccination was classed as a booster (due on 20th November). I did check this with the booking system and they said that they could not change the classification, this was done by the GP.
