Herbal advice?
Good Evening, I am just wondering if anyone can recommend any herbal that can help my anxiety or is herbal all a lot of rubbish? I'm currently on propranolol which helps with my panics, I use it more as a safety net - I wouldn't say my anxiety is intense as it was last year when I was on antidepressants

St John’s Wort and Levothyroxine????
I’m considering taking St. John’s to alleviate some anxiety and low mood symptoms. Has anyone any fixed experience in taking it when also dependant on levothyroxine? I take 100 mic g a day.

I am also thinking I have have had SA for years, way before PMR. My main reason for this update is to share this. Before the CPAP machine I could be

Combination insomnia and sleep apnea
Hello, I am new on this site; my sleep diagnosis has been insomnia and sleep apnea for years. I tried three different cpap masks/machines and they were all too intrusive or noisy for me to use, I also used the mouth appliance with little success. For my insomnia they prescribed Trazadone and that also

I would appreciate help and suggestions with my recent blood results. I am tired, sleep for 9-10 hours every night, am overweight, suffer memory loss and brain fog. I am currently taking 125mcg Levothyroxine, have been prescribed Liothyronine and when it was stopped by my GP I bought it from Greece,

Is there any conclusive evidence that amitryptilene contributes to the level of tinnitus? Opinions seem to vary and just now I am struggling to cope with a seriously ill husband and need a prop. My lovely doctor recommended amitryptilene to help but I certainly don't want to worsen the T which is

When to take supplements... so confused.
So I'm more baffled than ever when to take supplements because of other pills I'm taking. Here we go... Before breakfast: Thyroxine, omeprazole and folic acid. With breakfast: diclofenic & paracetamol, sulphasalazine, omega 3 fish oil, MSM, glucosamine and turmeric. Evening meal: hydrochloroquine,

CPAP machine
So I have just started a trial of a CPAP machine. I am really struggling with it. My sleep has gone back to being disturbed whereas I was going to bed and sleeping till 6 and sleeping all night - the machine wakes up puffing air into me or coming out if the sides . The longest I've managed to keep it

Has anyone tried Boswellia or MSM?
Spoke to a friend in America with RA. She told me about Boswellia (Frankincense) and MSM (sulphur). Has anyone else tried these supplements?

So today marked my 12 month anniversary of my gp/af ablation with Sabine Ernst at the Royal Brompton Yesterday was an early start on the bus to London for my battery of tests, first up at 1:30pm was my exercise stress test, which I did very well on, reaching level 6 of the 7 levels, around 17 minutes

So frustrated
I was really hoping today would be the day that I got some answers but no such luck. My doctor referred me on to a gynea as while my scan came back consistent with polycistic ovaries again, my testosterone is low (actually close to under normal levels, despite being high in the past - I wondered though

how I turned round my depressions
When I was born, my mother didn't bond with me, as a result, I didn't eat properly. I grow up with an eating disorder of which I was completely unaware. I'm like an iron board, very skinny. Depressions where normal all my life but never wanted to take antidepressants as I am very obstinate. Only over

One for CPAP users
Evening peeps - This is a question for CPAP users - I have been caught out a few times traveling and needing my CPAP and haven't had access to electrical supply so I am thinking of buying a secondary mini travel machine, the new ResMed one. It's hasn't a battery pack yet but they expect to have one

Sleep Apnea
Hello Everyone, I was diagnosed with Obstructive Sleep Apnea a few years ago now. I did all the test etc and was given a CPAP machine. I was young at the time and couldn't really get to grips with it, I kept pulling it off my face and of course it sprung back! In the end I gave up. I have now revisited

St John's Wort (SJW)
An intriguing post about St John's Wort (SJW), etc. The potencies for the uptake inhibition of NA, DA and 5-HT were 30, 7 and 1, respectively. The results indicate that the SJW Ze 117 extract interferes in three ways with the individual uptakes of the relevant neurotransmitters

Now a CPAP Machine?
Hi all my lovely Mother is deteriorating rapidly. We are still in the dilemma of PEG feeding and now her respiratory system is going downhill. We are now in the realms of a CPAP machine. We care for her at home but is it increasingly more difficult. Does anyone here have any experience of using this
