Finally, off DA but perhaps not for much longer
Since May this year, I started taking 5 mg of
MST
Continus
, which is a prolonged-release morphine sulphate medication, when I go to bed. I have increased this to 10 mg. On the positive side, I am lucky not to suffer at all during the day or evening. It is only when I go to bed.

Can you help with understanding pain-meds doctor?
My doctors have me on
MST
Continus
, the slow-release morphine which is fine Except that my body does not like it at all. It affects my balance, mood and I have strange dreams even during the day, slightly tinged with fear and paranoia. I’ve read others who’ve experienced the same.

Looking for advice to deal with pain and stiffness related to AIH.
I was recently signposted as this may be my diagnosis by a GP and I'm awaiting a consultant appointment with Rheumatology as appose to a liver specialist despite me questioning this. I have no inflammation markers on my bloods but I do on my antibodies and smooth muscle blood counts which his why it's

Worried about withdrawing from DHC Continus
Due to a spinal injury some 20+ yrs ago, I was put on Dihydrocodeine Continus, 60mg tabs 3 times a day. GP has just been reissuing the prescription for the last 20 odd yrs without really discussing these meds with me, or about changing for another drug. Now after 20yrs they just suddenly stop the prescription

Supplements to Avoid Article
Saw this interesting article about avoiding certain supplements when taking AF related medications. For example St John’s Wort, vitamin E for increased risk of bleeding https://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/supplements-to-avoid-with-afib

Cost of running oxygen concentrators, Cpap etc.
Everyone, If you are concerned about the cost of running your 02 concentrator or Cpap then you can ask your 02 delivery company to reimburse the electricity costs every month. Send the readings into the company every month to get the regular payment. Make sure you register with your energy supply

Phillips cpap lawsuit
There is a lawsuit against Phillip cpap manufacturers because some of the models of machines cause lung damage from the foam. If you used a cpap, and have any lung issues, the machine might have destroyed your lungs. Look it up.

The struggle is real.
I have insomnia and anxiety. I think my insomnia has to do with sleep apnea for which I have Cpap. The insomnia sets off my anxiety. I'm trying so hard not to worry about everything but it's hard when you don't sleep.

New MSA sufferer
Hi I was wearing my fit bit and noticed my deep sleep has been affected. Since, being diagnosed I have monitored the use of cpap vs nasal breathing. I get more deep sleep with nasal breathing and there are health benefits of breathing in nitric oxide while you sleep. I use surgical tape to cover up

I am very new and, so far, everyone has been very kind. Anyone else have trouble sleeping?
Last night, I spent many hours not sleeping and ended up on the computer, as usual. I think I slept a total of two hours and have been exhausted all day.My brain doesn't want to shut down. I have a CPAP machine because my doctor says I have sleep apnea. I also have a sound machine and a fan going, but

I think it is about 10 months since I last posted here - and a lot has been happening! Last November, I bought a Wellue

Confused
I am horrid at sharing my history and/or feelings whether it be here in writing or in person, so please bare with me. I was diagnosed with CLL in 2008 and by Oct 2009 my ALC had increased to 30 and my spleen was enlarged. My RBC was at 4.14 and my HG was at 12.7. My platelets were 130. A BMB showed

RLS? PLMD? Myoclonic Jerks? All of the above?
I am a 69 year old man in the United States. In 2016, I started experiencing leg spasms that would occur when I lie prone or leaned back in my recliner. I first noticed it during the day, but it would soon keep me from falling asleep and staying asleep. I mentioned it to a doctor I was visiting for

headaches #4
Back to tension headaches! I got to see my neurologist on Monday. He felt around, listened to what my other Drs had said, then said it’s definitely not migraines. He believes they are tension headaches due to spasms, not spasticity in my neck and shoulders. He told me to stop taking amitripaline,

homozygous, so I have the 2 copies for H63D. I’ve had a thought 💭
I’m homozygous/have the 2 copies for H63D. I’ve have higher ferritin levels over past 7/8 years ranges from circa 180 upto 380 at times. I found out as hubby bought me a Family history genetic test as a present and it included health DNA results. For years & prior to the genetic test & since, I have

CPAP machine waiting time
hi Any experience of how long the wait is to have a CPAP machine on NHS? I only have mild apnea as only stop breathing 14 times a night but I would welcome anything that may avoid this / improve my sleep. I had overnight sleep test and day nap test. It’s supposed to be for a trial basis - anyone
