Your multivitamins and brain-boosting pills may be suspect, and regulators are cracking down on the $40 billion industry
Vitamins are supposed to be good for you. But if recent research is any indication, the pricey pills and powders may offer more of a health risk than a nutritional boost. The FDA aims to quickly alert the public to avoid buying products that may contain supplements with unlawful or potentially dangerous

Cellulitus
Hi, I have recently been diagnosed as being a type 2 diabetic. In the past, I have been treated a few times for cellulitis. It always occurs when traveling and it doesn't seem to matter what the climate is. However, since my diabetes diagnosis, I have the same strange sensations in my legs and the feeling

Is a 6.5% A1c Good Enough for You?
Is a 6.5% A1c Good Enough for You? By Sysy Morales of The Girl's Guide to Diabetes February 18th, 2019 The premise that a 6.5% A1c is great for a type 1 diabetic is based on the widespread belief that we simply cannot expect better results than that and still maintain safety from low blood sugars

PMR & DIABETES
I was seen at Beverley on 24/01 and given diagnosis of Polimyalgia Rheumatica and was informed the usual treatment was Predisolone steriod. But due to me being diabetic this would affect my blood sugar so i had to wait until the consultant had contacted gp/diabetic nurse before treatment could start.

I think it’s my Runniversary...
...but I can’t remember when I started C25K! The only clue I have is that I ordered my first proper running shoes on 28th February (thanks Amazon purchase history!) and I was doing C25K for a couple of weeks (badly) before this...so it’s round about now! But anyway, I found this quote and a year on,

Statins and general update!
Had a fasting blood test for high cholesterol (second - first test gave 7+ result) last week. Due to hand foot and mouth and terrible state of nails they added on blood tests for diet deficiencies. So. First fab report is that nail lady fixed my poorly nails and they feel amazing. I phoned for bloods

I've just been given the yellow card. Don't want the red one.
Last Wednesday I was told that I'm pre diabetic. In the range 42 to 48 I'm 43 glucose level. No wonder I was feeling so tired. I was also told my BMI (89 kgs to 5.7 height) meant my BMI was 30.80 or thereabouts. On checking the statistics on line I found out that meant I was obese until I checked the
