Whoopppeee! Back to normal thanks to diet and you guys!
I was diagnosed prediabetic about a year ago, put on low dose of Metformin and also a moderate Keto diet, thanks largely to advice on this forum as well as my nurse. I had a blood test at six months in and had managed to improve and come one step away from prediabetic instead of becoming diatbetic. Now

Views on my daily breakfast
After a long break I decided I should get back to getting healthy again. I decided to stick to one breakfast, repeating it doesn't bother me, but wanted to ask what others thought as most info I've found seems to point to me doing all the right things. To start I have 1 turmeric capsual and take it with

Ways to lower your cholesterol
I just noticed this "Learn all about cholesterol and ways to manage it using this new online programme from the British Heart Foundation." and it got me thinking of a video, a very informative video called 'What The Health', that was relating to cholesterol, diabetes and other things. If you find information

Low blood sugar
I am not diabetic, but I feel like I have low blood sugar a lot so I bought a meter to check, i have had it for over a year and never had a low and then In January I checked it and it was 3.5 (64) and I didn’t feel any symptoms I felt fine. I left it half an hour and tested again and it was 4.5 (74)?

Eggs & diabetes
I just received an email talking arguing eggs are not bad for diabetes, and possibly good. To justify its position it referred to a study performed at The University of Eastern Finland, and published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition studied the diets of men aged 42 to 60, and followed them

Hi everyone, I am approaching my seventy seventh birthday and thank god despite my cold am still working. I was put on a mantainance dose of prednisone 10 mg daily. Noticed after several months that my waist had gone out a bit . Drink a lot of coffee like 7 or 8 cups per day with 2spoonfuls of sugar

Type 1 diabetes...difficulties
I have type 1 diabetes and am struggling with managing insulin/food/exercise. I’ve reached wk 7 run2. This morning I tried running on an empty stomach after my lantus injection but without novo rapid - as advised by diabetic nurse specialist - test beforehand 10.4mmols. Run went ok but during warm down

MGUS
Hi just wondering if anyone else here as a diagnosis of MGUS, as been reading it can be common among people with underactive thyroid. Any information would be appreciated. Also have nerve damage but specialist doesn't think it's connected. Thanks in advance.

Foot Problem
To Veronica, Just wanna reassure about your concern re foot problem. I have been a diabetic (T2) for the last 3 years and have experienced pricks and needles in my extremities since my diagnosis. According to my GP, pricks and needles in feet are quite common and shouldn't raise any concern. He told

Flaring again....
Unfortunately I’m paying the price for taking advantage of feeling so good the last 6 months. This will now be my 2nd official flare with APS . Once again I have extreme muscle fatigue , my right leg feels like cement when I walk and blurred vision to name a few. I have upped my supplements and currently

Diabetes
As the regulars here probably know, I take quite an interest in this. Diabetes Type 2, and all the horrible consequences that follow, is simply not taken seriously by the NHS, despite the fact that a large chunk of its budget disappears into that particular black hole. Metabolic Syndrome in general consumes

Another clinical trial: GLP1R in Parkinson's Disease (GIPD)
