Good news for all diabetes both T1 and T2. This is a dream come true if you are able to detect your blood sugar by a breath analyser.

No more finger pricking, no CGM , no more Dexcom.

We will eagerly await for its commercial production and it's affordability. Hope it should be affordable since it is just a breathe analyser which would detect Acetone. It is something like an alcohol breathe analyser which is used by the traffic police for vehicle drivers to detect if he is drunk. Such a breathe analyser is also used at the airport to screen pilots before they are allowed to pilot an aircraft.

Device is good.But cost is important.These pharma company are claver enough to invest money and reap a benefit.There must a move to manage diabetic condition by the practiner through good advice on diet and exercise rather than expensive devices.

The Price "WILL BE" Outrageous When It's First Put Out. Just Like Every "NEW" Product That Comes Out...In Ten Years ? It Will Be Drastically Lowered As Other Manufacturers Will Have Their Own Version Of The Device.....

Not very useful. The device measures acetone level of the breath. As all of you know, acetone levels increase on a low carb diet, and reach high levels on ketosis. Hence, using acetone as a biomarker to measure blood glucose will have too many false positives.
