Is there any replacement for metformin to get around B12 deficiency?
I have been on metformin for about 11 to 12 years. Recently, my B12 readings are less than normal. Read metformin causes B12 deficiency. For the last few years, I have been taking meformin 250mg 3 times a day right after meal. My latest Hba1c is 5.02. Average glucose (MBG i think) is 97. FBS is 97. Please

Does any supermarket bread have good carbs?
As anyone who follows my posts should glean that when I eat grains I aim exclusively for the full wholegrain since these are what I consider good carbs. Refined carbs such as white bread (and flour), I consider a processed food and so avoid like the plague. I was thus interested in a youtuber called

PPBS lesser than FBS
I recently got my blood checked. My fasting blood sugar was 128 and PP was 116. This is my first test and I'm confused about this. More I read up, I don't see a case where PP was less than FBS. Could someone please advise?

Bone marrow aspirate and trephine
I had the above procedure yesterday with sedation. The nurse had to really bear down on the bone to get the “corkscrew” type implement in. As I am on the FLAIR trial she did it twice. We stayed near the hospital last night and I felt great - glad it was behind me! My husband and I had a 6 hour car

Ramadan Preparation.
Firstly, I would like to point out that these are just my own personal thoughts and by no mean any set guidelines. So it’s just over a month away and Muslim’s all around the world will be observing the month of Ramadan. It is about that time of the year where I start thinking about Ramadan and my spiritual

World Homeopathy Awareness week 🌱
Good morning everyone, today is the beginning of homeopathy awareness week and I know there's a lot of controversy over homeopathy and think that we have to remember the power of plants, caffeine, opiate poppies, tobacco, are all powerful stimulants and plants are the source of many med's. Being an idealist

PreDiabetic
Hello all, This is my first post as I've just been diagnosed pre-diabetic. I have a lot of type 2 in the family. I'm male, 68, fit, not overweight, good balanced diet, don't drink, don't smoke. I was put on Sukkarto 500mg x 1 a day last week, and feel a bit funny sometimes. Guess that's my sugar level

Is Bionic pancreas the solution?
May be a bit overthinking , as a pre-diabetic, have been hearing a lot about the bionic pancreas closed loop systems all over the internet. Seems it is targetted for chronic or type1 diabetics. But it can be a hope for all. Just like the discovery of Insulin, this will change the way people manage this
