Living by the sea
I have had PMR for 5 years. I was 63 and 2 months before symptoms I moved near to the sea (which is at the end of my road) and had my first flu vaccination. Just throwing it out there, as I always wonder if either of these are significant. Having said this, I will still be having a Covid vaccination

Transurethral Urinary Bladder Resection #2...coming up!
Well, mates...I made it for three years with the bladder neoplasia in check, and undergoing BCG vaccine every few months. Remember I could now go on the lung transplant list having been cancer free for three years. Well Thursday’s cystoscopy put an end to that (although my oncologist argues this type

Covid Vaccine, would you have it? Fibromyalgia reasons
My family are discussing the vaccines and we all agreed that as my body is hypersensitive, I wouldn't have it. My body has major flare ups every time I have an injection. I was just recovering from an epidural I had three years ago, only to be bedridden by the flu jab. I'd never had issues with the flu

Allergies and vaccine
Not asking pros and cons of different types or any wish to get into a discussion ; just a simple question for personal experience. Has anyone who suffers multiple drug allergies and/or adverse reactions , yet had the vaccine.? I am aware that questions are asked beforehand about allergies and my GP

Lupus SLE on steroids, but in group 9 for COVID vaccination?
Hoping someone here can help me. I’m feeling really fed up! I’ve had SLE for 10 years, I’m on a v low dose of prednisone (& have been for 10 years). Fortunately my Lupus is generally well managed, although I also have hypertension. I wasn’t in the shielding group as I think I fell just outside the criteria

Covid Vaccine 💉
Hi all, I hope you are all staying safe and well 😊. I know there has been a few worries and queries about the Covid vaccine eligibility for asthmatics, this is a statement from AUK and we have also written to JCVI for clarity - I hope this is helpful 👍 'People with severe asthma who are clinically

When will asthmatics get COVID vaccine?
Hello, I am a 43 year old asthmatic and have been all my life. I get the flu jab for free every year as a result. My asthma is under control with inhalers, both brown and blue. My question is this - what priority group will I be in for the COVID vaccine? I am hoping it will be group 6 "all individuals

Tricuspid valve defect with regurgitation
My 19 year old was diagnosed with Tricuspid valve defect with regurgitation in 2017. He hasn't had any follow up as was told to get another scan in his late teens early 20's as his heart was functioning well at the time. Does this put him in the clinically vulnerable group for covid, and should he have

New to this group and loving the posts and support.
Hi everyone, Happy 2021 to us all. So I thought it was time to post as I’ve been actively watching and reading since November. I signed up to jog 50 miles in November for a charity a friend was doing and we completed, she told me about this group. When that was completed I went and signed up for a

Pinching pain in chest
Hi everyone. I have permanent AF and am awaiting cardioversion. Every now and again I feel a pinching/slight burning pain in my upper chest (much higher than my heart). I think it began when I had my flu jab - it was literally 10 mins after I had it and lasted a couple of days. I don’t recall feeling

ANYONE BEEN CONTACTED FOR COVID JAB YET?
My GP doesn't consider having RA is a good enough reason to have a flu jab, and has not been allowed since 2017, although I managed to slip through the net and have mine until this year, but after a lot of trouble did get a jab. My question is, has anyone with RA been given an appointment for covid

Flu jab reaction
I had a flu vaccination for the firs time ever 10 days ago in my arm - which doesn't have lymphoedema - and had a mild reaction e.g. pink, swelling, sore. It subsided after three days but then my right leg became very painful from top to bottom and was swollen. I have lymphoedema from the waist downwards

Why am I going cold?
I'm normally a very warm person. My treadmill is out in an unheated conservatory. When I run on the treadmill, I always have a separate fan blowing full blast as I get so hot. Just lately, about 1 hour after any of my runs/exercise (treadmill or outdoors) I get extremely cold? Is there a reason

Advice please
Hi everyone I have PVR jak2 + and my husband has CLL. We live in Bulgaria so language barrier, are we safe to have the vaccine? Husband heard that CLL sufferers can’t have it. We have both had the flu jab but we need info as we want to visit relatives in early 2021. Thanks
