She suggested the
mirena
coil, but I'm not keen on that as I know a few people have said it can make your symptoms worse.

So, am now 55 and probably through the menopause although I was prescribed HRT to compensate for appalling heavy bleeding and anxiety, and also given a
Mirena
coil, and I have high BP so have been prescribed a beta-blocker...not at all sure what 'normal' feels like any more and rather fed up with taking

I have only been recommended the
MIRENA

Yesterday
I have been having scans for a cyst for 18 months, I am 53, it was scheduled to be removed yesterday, however I woke up to being told a
Mirena
coil had been fitted, they had removed a polyp and done some cautery.

I've had to call for paramedics a few times which seems so silly. i've tried various pills, the injection, the patcgh, the implant, the
mirena
and none of them have provided me with any form of comofrt for anything longer than 3 months.

Anyone else get this with their Mirena Coil?
I can honestly feel my
mirena
coil in me, especially when I am lying down. Also, it scratches like crazy! Does anyone else get this? Told my surgeon, nurse and GP, none of them know what it could be.

Esmya/Fibroids/Mirena Looking for advice from anyone in similar situation.
My GP thought the
Mirena
coil would fix the bleeding and pain - it didn't help. Got referred to gynae, started on Esmya. First 3 weeks of Esmya, my pain increases to point of barely sleeping and begging for more pain relief.

I had the
mirena
fitted in march 2015 and it's my second one, but since last Tuesday and I have been bleeding and it's still hasn't stopped. It's doing my head in as I haven't experienced this before with the 1st one I had.

I've had numerous laparoscopies, tried every pill (all of which cause heavy bleeding), the hormone patch, prostap & recently the
Mirena

Changing from IUD to IUS
Before my GP refers me to a gynecologist she wants me to have my coil changed to the
mirena
coil. I've booked myself in Friday, but now I'm unsure what to do. I have really low lows when I'm on my period and dont really want hormones interfering with my mood.

Mirena coil 4 and a half months in. Hair loss, greasy skin, spots, emotional..
I'm thinking it might have to be removed :-( What are your own experiences of the
Mirena
for pain management?

Sorry, I just need to have a little moan
We came to agreement that he will perform a laparoscopy and refit a new
mirena
coil as this did stop all my bleeding for the past 5 and half years. Now it is has expired I have been increasing in my symptoms so I feel it's time to get something done about it.
