Really not sure if the benefit (less painful periods) is worth the side effects. Every time I brush my hair, I just think 'right, that's it. I can't take it any more!' And I didn't have hair loss beforehand. My periods were extremely painful, but only for 2 days - and strong painkillers helped if I caught it in time. It hasn't helped so far with daily pain. I'm thinking it might have to be removed :-(

What are your own experiences of the Mirena for pain management?

I didn't get on with mine, had it removed after 8 months. I had the side effects you described plus daily bleeding, it wasn't good! :( xxx

Oh yes, daily bleeding is the other thing I forgot to mention! Plus my periods are lasting 10 days. What have you tried since the Mirena Janine?

I'm likely to be having a hysterectomy later this year. I've tried lots of things to control my endo but it's severe and I have adeno too xxx

I'm 21, had mirena in for over a year now, I haven't had any benefit from it at all :/ I'm having a hysterectomy this year as the prostap injections really helped me.

I too have bad hair loss and oily skin, it's bloody horrible isn't it😠

Give the secretary a call or your GP and discuss it with them xx
