Types of hysterectomy
Hi, i've just joined HealthUnlocked and i'm trying to get as much information as possible. I am having issue with my womb/uterus (have posted in the EVE forum) but I have a question about hysterectomy. If this is the option given to me as treatment, would I be able to have a Laparoscopic/vaginal hyst

Endometriosis on the ureter?
I had a laparoscopy on Wednesday and endo was removed from both ovaries and it was also found in my ureter. I also had a mirena coil fitted. I have had no further info except in my discharge letter it said it was too dangerous to remove and would need to be removed from the ureter at a later date. I

Doctor suspects endo, would love advice.
Hi all, I'm new here and recently heard the word "it could be endometriosis" from a doctor. I've always had painful periods, always known that they weren't normal. At school I would have to be sent home as the cramps would go from my front right through my bottom up my back. At the moment my symptoms

Ultrasound showed Ovary looked 'dense' - is this a common factor of endo/chocolate cysts?
I have had pain in my right side for 8-9 years now, the first lap in 2009 said my right ovary looked polycystic, but I did not have PCOS or endo. They did find fibroids and put the pain down to that, but said if I can live with the pain to wait until I have had children. I have had two children, but

Period after Mirena coil taken out
I bled and had a 'period' straight away once the coil was taken out and that was painful.. I've been having period cramps for the past week or so but no blood. Is this the build up to one hell of a period? How has the first period been after its been taken out for everyone else?

Daily Spotting for Months since Coil & Lap
Hey ladies, I'm having a terrible time 😞 In Nov 16, I had my third laparoscopy and cystoscopy (where endo was found and removed) and whilst having the lap, my surgeon inserted the mirena coil. However, since February I have been having daily 'spotting'. I'll have one or two days of no spotting but

Advice of what to do next?
Hello I am new and have been reading everyone's posts and finding them very helpful. I got diagnosed last July after laparoscopy but unfortunately they only removed one endo spot. I was told it was through my blood vessels in my womb ovaries and tubes and it couldn't be removed without taking the organs

Hi all, I have posted this in the endometriosis group, but thought I may get advice on the infertility side here too. I have been undergoing tests since October 16 after chronic stomach pain and bloating worsening at certain times of the month. I was diagnosed with endometriosis a couple of months

Mirena Coil Scratching?
Just wondering is anyone else has had this? I am 19, had my second laparoscopy 6 weeks ago where they found very severe endo pretty much everywhere apart from my womb. I also had a mirena coil inserted during the surgery to control my endo afterwards (as I dont agree with the pills/injections). Since

Mirena IUS
Morning ladies just a quick question has anyone tried the mirena after having a laparoscopy. I've been looking into this as I do plan on having children in the future and don't want to wait up to a year for my fertility to return which is what can happen if I get the injection. Apparently the mirena

New Granddaughter made things better.
After having my gynae admission delayed due to shingles and D and V, I finally went in. Had fibroids and polyps removed and a mirena coil put in. Apart from doing my usual fainting everything went fine. The idea was to reduce bleeding during the menopause, to help with anaemia. Since then I have been

Survival tips on hormone withdrawal please...
Hello advice greatly appreciated... I've ended up going cold turkey on both a Mirena coil after 5 months (due to pelvic physical discomfort) and zoladex/tibilone ( only survived 2 months as the effects were so horrid). I had a kind of hormone crash lunchtime got the shakes and have started to bleed

Mirena coil and migraines
Hi, I had the mirena coil fitted 7 weeks ago (during surgery) and have had 5 migraines since. I would normally get a migraine every 2 months or so. I mentioned it to nurse at family planning who said it should settle within 6 months! 6 months and I'll be cutting my head off! Any one else had migraines
