Mirena coil and migraines

Hi,

I had the mirena coil fitted 7 weeks ago (during surgery) and have had 5 migraines since.

I would normally get a migraine every 2 months or so.

I mentioned it to nurse at family planning who said it should settle within 6 months! 6 months and I'll be cutting my head off!

Any one else had migraines with mirena? Surgeon didn't mention side effects when he said he was putting it in...

Ps... migraine WITH aura (numb face, speech problems, flashing lights)
