Possible PCOS
Hi all, I'm new to the community but have been reading through some posts, it's relieving to hear other people's experiences. I will try and keep my story as brief as possible. I'm 30 years old, always suffered with my periods being very heavy and irregular so had birth control for many years. Recently

Been researching the mirena coil alot...could it help?
Has anyone on here had any success with the mirena coil? Or bad symptoms? I'm most worried about depression, weight gain and decreased sex drive. At my wit's end with this crap disease. So dead against hormonal solutions but don't think surgery is the ultimate solution either. Doctor said after surgery

Anyone had ventrosuspension? And found it to improve painful sex?
Hi everyone i've been through what feels like millions of appointments and 'try this try that' experiments for painful and heavy/irregular periods for the last 9 years since they began. I had my first laparoscopy in july last year to look for endometriosis but none was found so a mirena coil was inserted

Mirena Coil - positive story
Hi everyone, Just to say, I know that many people on here have had various (and sometimes awful) experiences with the mirena, but I think I am finally out of the horrible "settling-in" stage and life's pretty sweet at the moment. Having been told I can no longer take any form of the pill due to horrendous

Recent suspected diagnosis
Hi everyone, I've been having irregular periods and pain for the last 3 years. I have been put on the contraceptive pill and taken off it, had the mirena coil put in, had mefanamic and tranexamic acid. Each one has helped a little but the pain is still unbearable and the bleeding continues daily. I

Period after Prostap with Mirena?
I’ve had the Mirena coil in for 3 years and still had periods every few months if not every month (question 1 – has anybody else’s periods just continued on it?), last year I had 6, monthly Prostap injections with my last one being on the 8th of November. I feel so hormonal, emotional, sore boobs, discharge

Mirena zoladex and tibolone
Hi everyone I've been suffering with endo for over a year now already had two laparoscopies. During the second one had mirena coil inserted but it didn't help. Last Friday my doctor put me on zoladex and gave me tibolone which I haven't taken yet as I'm terrified of the side effects. Was wondering if

Mirena coil messing with my moods and skin
For about two months I've been having severe mood swings and terrible skin (adult acne). This has never happened before, and I can only assume it's coil related. I had it fitted early July last year and at first it was perfect, little to no pain and no bleeding (occasional spotting). Now my skin has

I need help...
Hi. I'm 26, I have been on and off contraception pills/injection/Implant for 11 years. In the beginning it was for contraception but as the years have gone on it was required due to extremely heavy periods (hospitalised twice for anemia) bad acne, severe bloating (to a point I gained severe stretch

Day 3 following lap - diagnosis of endo and interstitial cystitis
Hi everyone, Sorry for the long post. I've had a bit of a rollercoaster ride since my first lap. I went in to anaphylactic shock after my surgery and have been quite poorly since. I've still got puffy sore eyes and a very sore scratchy throat but my rash has pretty much disappeared and I'm feeling much

FSH and LH results - advice please
Evening everyone. A couple of weeks ago I posted with a query about whether or not to take HRT, as my GP wants me to - grateful for the responses to that and I'm been mulling over the best way forward. While doing so I came across test results for FISH and LH, taken at the same time as the tests that
