More bad days than good
Hello, I’m 19 years old and have just recently been diagnosed with endometriosis! After many times being hospitalised due to the severe pain thinking it was appendicitis then realising it was more of a gyny problem, I had a laparoscopy about 2 months ago. This was when they found quite abit of endometriosis

Mirena coil - is this normal? (TMI)
I had a diagnostic lap, endo excised and mirena coil inserted just over 3 weeks ago. I know the coil takes time to settle and I've experienced twinges and pinching I've read about that's normal. I'm sure this is normal too but I'm currently on day 12 of my period (I normally bleed for 6-8 days). It's

Mirena Coil Help
I have had the mirena coil for a few years now and I have hated every minute of it but docs just keep telling me to persevere. I have had everything, bleeding between periods, mood swings, put on weight, bloating, but I have been having brown discharge and sort of spitting up to a Day after sex. Only

Constant bleeding on Mirena coil
Hi, am a newbie... was hoping someone could help me understand whether what I am experiencing is « normal ». End of September 2017 I had a mirena coil fitted to deal with irregular periods (I have fibroids and gyno said it could help shrink them, too) and also to act as contraceptive obviously. The insertion

I'm new here - feel like it's all in my head...
Hi all, I'm here and going back and forth in my head as to whether I'm just being a princess about period pain or whether there is some endo going on! I have been on and off the pill since 2010. Mainly the progesterone-only pill, cerazette, due to migraines so can't have the combined pill. I came off

Symptoms and a sanity check
Hi, I've not been diagnosed with endo but from research I've done into symptoms I've had over the last 15 yrs I think it would probably explain a lot (i'm 30). I'm currently fighting with my GP to refer me to a gyno. I just thought i'd sanity check with people who have experienced it to see if my symptoms

Surgery update from yesterday
Good morning girls. Surgery went fine and I have been diagnosed with mild endometriosis. They also said I had a layer of substance around my ovaries, so they’ve taken biopsies of that and of inside womb too. So I guess I’ll hear back if it is anything bad. Also had mirena coil fitted. The gas pain

I’m in hospital and they are doing something else!
Currently in my stockings and gown, waiting to go in. Surgeon has just been around, told me the ins and outs. He’s suggested that even if they don’t find endo, to have a mirena coil put in as endo can sometimes be under the surface. So just a precaution. I’ve agreed to this. He’s also suggested to

What can I expect if I choose not to go on the pill for 3 months after Lap surgery?
Hello all, I had a diagnostic laparoscopy 10 days ago, where the consultant found and excised patches of endometriosis. I was pretty out of it when he came and showed me the pictures etc (hadn't been awake long and had just been given extra morphine!) but I think he said there was some my uterus itself

Has my mire and coil stopped working
Hi, Haven't posted on here for some time, I don't think I have endo as Gyne won't do lap, but have got mirena coil in since 2015, and since last April have had monthly periods and recently have been getting heavier and extreme pelvic cramps. Could this mean the coil has stopped working

Extremely painful bowel movement.
After a horrendous summer when I ended up in hospital with severe stomach pains and no one could work it out despite having cameras having a good look I was eventually diagnosed with Endometriosis. GP and myself agreed to have a marina coil inserted and to start HRt patches which have helped periods

Does a laparoscopy show bowel endo?
I had a laparoscopy in 2016, not at a specialist unit as was originally referred to wrong department. I was told it looked very vascular inside and that I had pocketing-but not mention of bowel. Even though these symptom's were main problem. Since having my Mirena removed. My bowel symptomns are back
