I recently had the mirena coil fitted, any bad experiences?? - help🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️

So I had the coil fitted 15th Jan, since then non stop trouble 😩 I bled for the first 3 months being on it with a couple of day intervals but apart from that I was very much bleeding on and off every couple of hours, so unpredictable I just had to wear pads constantly! When not bleeding however, I get a really yellow discharge which has recently got worse (tmi - sorry🙈). After the bleeding subsided I’ve had two periods both of which were 3 weeks long. I’ve just come off my second period and had sex last night but since then I’ve been in agony with my ovaries, they feel like they’re going to explode! I should add, before this with the bleeding has been super painful. I’ve always had painful periods especially after my laparoscopy Jul 17, but I’m no longer bleeding and the pain is still there massively. Should I be worried??

I had mine fitted about a month after you, have bled every day also other than about four days, is really frustrating and exhausting.

I’m hoping it will ease off soon as when I had the coil previously I didn’t have any periods.

I don’t know what to say about the pain, since having the coil fitted I’m getting discomfort for a few days after intercourse 😬

You've given it 5 months. Request to have it removed by then you'll have given it 6 months. It doesn't work for everyone.
