Endo and asthma

Has anyone else developed asthma since endo diagnosis?

I was diagnosed with endo 2yrs ago now. It was a bit of a 'lucky' diagnosis if I'm honest, I'd been suffering with increased pain in the first couple of days of my period for at least 1.5-2yrs before I went to my GP at the time (I've since moved house and am with a different surgery). She referred me for an ultrasound, which found two 3.5cm cysts on my right ovary. I was then referred to hospital for consultation, and the consultant, to my surprise, recommended straight to operation (I was really expecting a 'wait and see' response from him) and suggested I have a mirena coil fitted as well. It wasn't until I was coming round from the laparoscopic cystectomy that I knew I had endo, so while it was 'lucky', it was also somewhat a surprise as I'd not even heard of it before.

So, just over a year and a half later, I came down with tonsillitis at the beginning of October, then had a pretty shocking sounding cough (alternated between sounding like I smoked 40 a day, or was coughing up a lung) and a bit of a cold. The cold part clearly fairly quickly, but the cough seemed to get better, then got worse again so I went to my GP who diagnosed seasonal asthma triggered by cold temperatures, so prescribed inhalers - both steroid and regular ventolin. However, it seems it's not just seasonal! It flared up again at the beginning of April when hayfever kicked in.

I went back to my GP nearly two weeks ago now to ask if it was ok to increase the dosage of my steroid inhaler and asked while I was there if the asthma could be related to the endo. The GP said no it couldn't and was fairly certain about it - I think because I'd possibly have chest pain with it, but I'm still doubtful and have suspicions that the two could be related. After all, the lap I had 2yrs ago wasn't diagnostic, it was therapeutic to remove cysts (which turned out to be endometrioma's), so I've never had any investigations to see if endo has grown anywhere outside of the ovaries/uterus/rectum; and I've never had asthma before the end of last year, though have had hayfever since I was a child - though not badly for the past few years.

Any advice/help would be gratefully received!
