what to try next?
Hi everyone :) I don't think I've posted before, probably because as awful as endo is, I've been lucky in a lot of ways. . I was diagnosed via laparoscopy in 2015, and I live in a city with an accredited endo centre, so my surgeon knew what he was doing. He found and excised a few spots in various places

Mirena Coil
Hi everyone, can you please tell me your experience with the Mirena Coil? I haven't had great luck with side effects both from procedures and medications, so I'm scared to try something that I can't easily stop overnight! Thanks x

Visaane and Mirena
Hi all, I have a mirena for a year, the symptoms got better but still not quite good. I went to the doctor and he recommend to take Vissane on top of it. Has any one tried both at the same time? Mirena coil and Vissane (or any hormone pills)? Thanks.

Mirena coil replacement
Hi I have the Mirena coil (my first) as well as the progesterone only pill for endometriosis management . I understand that the Mirena is licenced for 5 years for heavy menstrual bleeding. I will be coming up to five years in January and wondered if anyone has any tips or advice on having the Mirena

dineogest & mirena coil
I’m in a bit of a predicament & I understand asking for advice on here isn’t exactly medical professionals but hoping to hear other’s experiences to help give me the answers. I’ve been diagnosed with stage 4 endo for 5 years, after a long journey I managed to conceive my daughter - pregnancy definitely

Returning Endometriosis with a vengeance!
So approximately two years ago I had surgery for severe endometriosis. It didn’t particularly help with the pain as I also have adenomyosis, but I was just about managing. The NHS haven’t been very helpful as I have been waiting for nearly two years for the mirena coil. I took matters into my own hands

Has anyone not been diagnosed after first laparoscopy but diagnosed later?
Hey everyone! 🤗 This may be a bit of a long one, so I appreciate anyone who takes the time to read it. I was wondering if anyone had endometriosis that was missed during their first laparoscopy? I've had debilitating pain on and off for almost two years. I went to the GP so many times when the pain

Bowel Problems...
Hello everyone, I think I already know the answer from other posts, so sorry for repeating, but I get so confused over the symptoms I get and I'd like to see what you think. I had a lap 15 years ago and was told I had adhesions between my uterus and bowel and I believe it was treated. I had two kids

Hi, I have no Thyriod as I had thyriod cancer in 2018. My thyroxine has been too low for a while so Hypothyriod atm. Waiting for levels to balance but anxiety is awful. And feeling low etc. The GP recommended Mirena coil as no interaction with Thyroxine for all the hormonal symptoms. But reading

Heavy bleeding Mirena
Hello I have the mirena IUD coil for about 3 years now. My bleeding used to be lighter but still there and constant. But over the last couple of money with academic stress and financial pressure. I've been bleeding so heavily with blood clots the size of my palm. I bleed like 3 weeks a month and I spend

One year post endometrial ablation and lap update.
This time last year I had endometrial ablation. Mirena coil fitted and bilateral ovarian cysts removed. All has been really good. I occasionally get verve pain around port sites from my lap but generally much better. No period in a year which is an unbelievable relief after months of flooding pre op

Work Support
Hi everyone. I wonder if anyone has any advice on how to communicate with their workplace? I have a rather rocky but ok relationship with my manager and although we get on, sometimes I find their attitude quite controlling and a little confrontational. I get a little confused with their approach

periods on mirena but no pain
I’ve had 2 laps for endo, have tri cycled the pill and been on tablets such as naproxen. Ive been so luckily that having the coil fitted during my 2nd lap has majorly improved pain and quality of life. I’ve had it for a year and bit and I’m on my 5th period. My dilemma is it’s pain free but how much

Hysteroscopy For Fitting Mierena
Hi all, saw my NHS Gyne the other day. He has booked me in to see him in July to have a Hysteroscopy, in order to fit the Mirena Coil. From my previous and only lap and internal ultrasounds he can see that my uterus is retroverted. Quite nervous about having the mini procedure done and I normally find

Post Laparoscopy update
Hi all, I hope everyone is doing as well as possible. I recently posted to express my anxiety about an upcoming laparoscopy. I’ve been on the waiting list with the nhs for 2 years for this procedure. My biggest fear was being told that nothing was found. I know from some other peoples posts that

Mirena Coil
Hey all, I have an appointment tomo with my NHS gyne. He's going to see if he'll be able to fit the mirena coil 'normally' or wether it'll have to be done with some sort of guidance as i have a tilted uterus. Feels like my health has just plummeted since Christmas and I'm in extreme pain daily. Worried

What contraception with endo
Hello, A couple of years ago I had a laparoscopy which confirmed my endometriosis diagnosis. At the time I’d had my mirena coil for about 3 years. The coil has worked wonders in reducing some of the symptoms from my endo and the surgeon told me that they’d recommend me keeping the coil in order

Booked for diagnostic laparoscopy next week and super anxious.
Hi all, I’ve been on the waiting list to have a diagnostic laparoscopy for 2 years now and I am finally booked in for next week. I have been back and forth to the GP for years and only after having children and likening my pain to labour did I feel my GP listened. I have had the Mirena coil for over
