struggling with Adenomyosis
Long post sorry in advance, I’m just struggling today and need some advice. Can anyone recommend an adenomyosis specialist? My consultant was a BSGE endo specialist so I had high hopes but since I was diagnosed in November after my laparoscopy he discharged me. He’s told me my adeno isn’t responsible

mirena coil threads
I have the mirena coil inserted at the end of July for the first time (approx 3 weeks ago) at first all was fine and I could feel 2 threads quite high up. I am currently on day 14 of a very light period (lighter but longer than usual) and I can only feel one thread which is quite low down. The other

Mirena and pain!
Ended up in A and E this morning with severe stabbing pain in my uterus/ ovaries and colon. I was diaognoised with endometriosis back in february this year via a laparoscopy. I had my left ovary removed and my uterus unstuck from my colon. The surgeon said he had to leave some tissue near my colon

first gynae appointment
I had my first appointment this morning after 8 month wait and many cancellations. I felt it went well they listened to everything I had to say etc. He believes it is endometriosis. I'm just confused as the ending was rushed and was just told they are booking me in for keyhole surgery to insert

Anyone had surgery for bowel and womb being stuck together by endometriosis? and ovarian cysts removal? How did it go? Been on zoladex for 10months now after my 12 I’m having a Mirena coil fitted. Then back to the consultant to decide on surgery. She keeps pushing for me to have a hysterectomy

I can’t stop peeing
when I have a flare up or in pain I need to pee constantly 5 to 10 mintes if I don’t the pain and trying to retain the pee is unbearable. This is always accompanied by spotting, severe abdominal pain, nausea and constipation. I take cranberry supplements and drink it. I try to stay dehydrated but

Ongoing problems 8 months since surgery
I noticed a horrible, recurring shoulder/chest pain a couple of years ago which I initially put down to a possible injury. I realised something was wrong when it started getting worse, affecting my breathing and making me not want to talk when the pain was at it's worst. I called the GP who put me on

New diagnosis how to cope? General advice
Hi everyone, I have only just been diagnosed with endometresiosis last week after having to pay private for a laporoscopy due to the long nhs list and debilitating pain. Plus the usual painful heavy periods normalised when I used to see my GP. I had severe pelvic pain about 6 weeks ago which had made

Mirena Coil
Third surgery done and dusted 💪🏻, They managed to find that the adhesions had caused my left ovary to be attached to my bladder and bowels. They burned all the adhesions out and put my ovary back where it needed to be 😅. My endo was also taken out and sent for another biopsy so waiting a few weeks

Microgynon 30 for stopping periods?
I recently had a referral to query endometriosis. I've always had pretty bad cramps with my period, resulting in fainting, vomiting or both. Since my teens I managed it with ibrupofen, which doesn't completely stop the cramps but was at least allowing me to be functional and not faint etc. I also

mirena coil help
Hi, I have been diagnosed with stage 4 endo through a lap last year. I was fine until a couple of months ago and now the pain is back for 2 solid weeks out of every month. My surgeon is reluctant to perform a hysterectomy because he said i have too much scaring and the risks are extremely high.

period after laparoscopy
Hello my lovelies. I had my first laparoscopy (and excision of endo) three weeks ago this coming Monday. I came on my period four days after surgery. It's now day 17 and I'm going crazy. It's not particularly heavy I'm - not using tampons of course, and the blood is only there in my urine and when

Urine issues - advice really appreciated!
Hi guys sorry for the details 🫣 but I had my laparoscopy surgery about 3.5months ago and mirena fitted at the same time. For the last few weeks, I’ve had this need to pass urine really often and I need to go so urgently that if I don’t, I’d end up leaking 🫤. It’s got to the point where I have to

40 something still suffering
I’ve had 3 laps and laser on the endo, although last consultant said he didn’t find any ( he also made a comment about my weight, 11 stone 5ft5, infront of the full ward!! That was 6 years ago. Since then I’ve still got the mirena but every month in severe pain with minimal bleeding. Scared I could be
