What now?
So I finally had my gynae apt yesterday. I have had pain in my left pelvic area for more than 2 years now, this pain takes on a new level during my period. I say period but since being on the mirena coil my bleeding is sporadic bleeding for 14 days a month on and off. So gastroenterology felt that

Could endo be cause of positive FOB test?
I was diagnosed with endo in my mid 20's and had a couple of laparoscopies confirming that it was fairly severe and in the Pouch of Douglas. I had some of it removed and symptoms improved when I had my children. Fast forward 20 years and I'm now perimenopausal with very heavy periods to the point

How difficult is it to diagnose Adenomyosis?
Hello, I hope you are all well and surviving the heatwave! Long story, but for 6+ years I have been experiencing worsening gynaecological pain. This started during ovulation and was a fullness within the pelvis and sharp pains within the rectum and to the lower right of my back/abdomen. Gynae referred

Some good news - Laparoscopy success!
Hey All, I have been on this forum for a while as I was trying to figure out what was wrong. I'm 24 but had issues since I was 18, and was always told it's just bad period pain or I need to loose weight. Was formally diagnosed with PCOS last year after being tested for it 3 times since 2016 and always

Period returned 7 weeks after giving birth despite breast feeding - is this related to endometriosis?
Hi. I was just wondering if anyone else has had their period return really soon after giving birth? My daughter is 7 weeks old and my first period has started! I am fully breast feeding her - about every 2 hours and so thought I might get a larger break. Some of my friends have reported having a years

Mirena
I’ve been experiencing headaches, funny vision, vertigo / sea sickness, and just generally feeling weird and spaced out. I’ve had every test going and everything seems to be normal. Is there any possibility this is all coming from my coil? Has anyone experienced similar?

Burning pains
Hi everyone 👋 I had a laparoscopy last April and have recently had the Mirena coil removed. I’ve had burning pain in my left leg and under ribs. The same type of pain is also in my stomach and hips near my incision sites. These pains have increased a lot since I had the coil removed. I’m due to have

Pain with the Mirena Coil
Hello, I had the Mirena Coil fitted on 8 June to treat Endo after I couldn't tolerate the side effects of Prostap. My consultant insisted that the Mirena is "the number one treatment for pelvic pain and painful periods". I had braced myself for terrible pain when it was fitted and was advised that I'd

Mirena Coil and Bowel/Abdomen Pain
Hi. I had the Mirena Coil fitted on March 18th. Since then I have been on antibiotics due to concerns over an infection (swabs came back clear though) and severe abdominal pain. Initially the pain felt like intense menstrual cramps, however know it is more like sharp bowel pain. Passing wind and/
