I am apprehensive to write this - but HOLY COW!
Amazing how the

treatment change
For those of you that have lobular, what was your second line treatment after ibrance/letrezole or similar combo? My onco seems to be leaving it up to me on what treatment I want to try. Not sure if I go with a parp since I have brca 2 mutation or xeloda or afinitor plus aromasin? Do I go for a trial

Chest Compression from Breast Implants Worsening Pleural Effusions?
I was surprised I couldn’t find any studies released to this. Obviously breast implants will not generally be the cause of pleural effusions, but if you develop pleural effusions from other causes, I would think it’s at least plausible that implants in irradiated areas where you’ve lost skin elasticity

Good news about chemo - second hand
I know we all fear running out of options and having to go to chemo. That is how my oncologist presented it to me when I was first diagnosed with mbc. The hair loss, the nausea, the extended infusions. On the other hand, from everything I have read, it is most effective. There is a woman in my building

With and without contrast
Originally I was found to have multiple
metastasis
on my upper skeletal frame, therefore the Docetaxel. Theses were not seen on any CT scan that i took prior to traement, but were found by PET Scan. I am scheduling another PET in about a month.

Nervous about Fulvestrant and Piqray treatment
Hi all! I just had my 2nd pet scan results back and it was not good. The report showed that I have increased metabolic activity in tumors on both sides and new mets are found in liver. I have been taking Tamoxifen and Kisqali for the past 6 months, and I thought things are going well until this pet

Lycopene
Conclusion As noted in the review, lycopene can exert its anti-cancer effects through various pathways, including activating and inducing apoptosis, prevents
metastasis
and progression of prostate cancer by blocking the gap junction molecules and inhibiting the colony formation by decreasing the motility

encouraging words from oncologist
hi everyone! I think it would be a great time to share some encouraging words our oncologists have shared with us that maybe will help to inspire others. I think it can be very uplifting to read positives! My parent (ironically my father- men do get breast cancer!) was diagnosed with de novo stage
