Systemic Therapy for Nonmetastatic Castrate-Resistant Prostate Cancer
elsca1=emc_enews_topic-alert Results from studies of 3 drugs look very promising.....delay of
metastasis
by 2 years? I assume most men here are already up to date on this. Side effect profile of these drugs? Are there really many men who are nonmetastatic and also castrate resistant?

Vitamin K
However, cancer seems to need microclots for
metastasis
. As noted above, it's not a good idea for men with PCa to intentionally become vitamin K deficient.

Joint pain from Letrozole
Has anyone had extreme joint, muscle, bone pain from Letrozole? I have been hurting all over and so sore. I talked to my oncology pharmacist and she said Letrozole can definitely do that and if it keeps on we will have to switch to something different. Any advice??

The next step
Hi Nice ladies, I have been on Taxol but because of side effects decided to try something else. The neuropathy seems to be increasing with this. Doc agrees, suggested other options; Eribulin, Tamoxifen or Gemzar. I am leaning toward Tamoxifen but need to think about it. If you have any input I welcome

The case of Guy Tenenbaum
His

Influence of Cholesterol on Cancer Progression and Therapy - Translational Oncology - Volume 14, Issue 6, June 2021
Also,
metastasis
of prostate cancer in bone causes an increase in cholesterol content as compared to the normal bone and these phenomena can be attributed to de novo cholesterol biosynthesis, supported by the influx of cholesterol through LDLR and SRB1 [89].

How Painful is the end of life from Cancer.
As i have seen a few cases in family , they all had a
metastasis
to Brain and passed away. Is this always painful ?

A Welsh Embayment
It is a
metastasis
from my prostate cancer, which was first treated in 2004 and has been giving issues periodically since. We are to zap the little dear with some radiation. The painting below was, as with all my paintings, just playing around with some paint and inks.

Tinnitus on Ibrance and Letrozole
Hi ladies, has anyone developed Tinnitus whilst taking Ibrance and Letrozole? I spoke to my Oncologist today and he feels it’s unlikely the meds are causing it. He said it’s rare. He wants me to have a hearing test. Now I’m concerned in case he takes me off the meds I have been on for near to years and

Zytiga Effects On Bloodwork
My initial concern was that the increasing ALP represented possible progression of bone mets and/or the increasing bilirubin represented potential liver
metastasis
, but cursory research into Zytiga revealed that it can cause abnormalities in liver tests and ALP and that this must be monitored.

Anyone on Ibrance have lowering haemoglobin and rising liver enzyme AST? Concerned it may be cancer in marrow....
Hi all I've been on Ibrance and Letrozole since MBC diagnosis in August 2019 to bones and marrow (after primary bilateral mastectomy, immediate lat dorsi reconstruction, chemo, rads, and Herceptin in 2010). Stable CT scans since, but now AST liver enzyme rising, my Ferritin (which is odd with low haemoglobin
