New promising drug Erso might cure metastatic breast cancer
Hi wonderful people. I just would like to give you hope. After I read an article in Translational medicine published by Doctor Shapiro and his team from University of Illinois about a new compound ErSO that showed 99/100 % success on mice. Then it was tested on rats and dogs. The pharmaceutical company

No sign of
metastasis
, but there was a small intensity seen in the prostate. All signs pointed to a recurrence. (BTW this was a Pylarify PSMA PET Scan and was fully covered by Alan's Medicare.)

Parkin in PCa, A PCa living tumor treatment library, Sabizabulin (VERU-111) moves into Phase 3 trials, Heat to turn on CAR-T
The first piece of news is about Parkin, a tumor suppressor protein, that when reintroduced to PCa resulted in smaller tumors and decreased
metastasis
-see below: https://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2021/08/210825143111.htm Next, at Monash University, the largest living tumor library is established

Xeloda side effects
I have progression in my liver after being on Palbociclib and Letrozole for over two years. Xeloda has been suggested but I'm worried the side effects will make it impossible for me to care for my husband who has advanced dementia. It seems a rather drastic change of medication and I was wondering if

Zometa & Faslodex
After seeing onc today, I’ve been told no more ibrance… instead zometa & faslodex only. I’m an emotional wreck, I don’t understand why she has changed her mind. Am I on a slippery road now? Should I be worried, Should I get a second opinion, or should I just try this new combination? I feel so low. I

Fulvestrant
So glad reading the comments about lumps where fulvestrant has been injected. Was getting a bit worried as they have only just appeared and with the pain as well thought cancer was spreading to my bones.... Any tips for easing the pain would be helpful.

PSMA results
A recent PSMA found what is suspected to be a met at C6- " Tiny intensely PSMA avid lesion within left aspect of C6, suspicious for solitary osseous
metastasis
.". A follow up MRI was inconclusive. A thin slice MRI also inconclusive- small sclerotic focus could be met or ddd.

Taking an OTC for immediate relief?
Can anyone tell me: I'm on Faslodex, Ibrance, Xgeva. I have a bacterial bladder infection (getting antibiotic today!). Does anyone know of any reasons to NOT take Uristat Ultra UTI Pain Relief Tablets until the pain and burning and continual urination stops? (Due to interactions with MBC meds) Thank

Xeloda next, why not fulvastrant with Palbo first?
Hi I’ve recently had small liver progression on Letrozole/palbo and will now be starting Xeloda on Friday which is making me a bit anxious re the side effects. However, I’m also wondering why my onc didn’t try fulvastrant with palbo firstly. I forgot to ask her last time we spoke. Does anyone know if

Forgoing Regular Prostate Biopsies
The DNA test on the cancer tissue (found in 30% of 1 core out of 13, in the zone shown on the MRI), predicted 1% chance
metastasis
within 10 years and put me in a Very Low Risk category. My subsequent PSA levels have fallen to approximately 3.0 and stayed there.

Follow up care was NOT scheduled
No one has addressed the brain
metastasis
nor was any follow up care scheduled for this. All we seem to know is that he now has brain cancer.
