hello everyone- my dad was diagnosed with MBC to his bone in May of 2022 and has begun Ibrance, letrozole, xgeva and lupron. (He is BRCA II positive). His tumor markers are now within a normal range and his primary breast tumor is unable to be felt anymore. We feel good about the Ibrance working (please fingers crossed)! His first pet scan after starting treatment was supposed to be 9/2 but then he got covid. He got through covid well and they rescheduled the pet scan for 9/16 this Friday. My question is- has anyone had a lingering cough after covid has “resolved”? He still has this ongoing cough and I am worried but it only started with covid so I do not feel it is MBC related (praying it’s not!)

lingering cough after covid
I had this for about 3 or 4 weeks afterwards, as did my husband, daughter-in-law and daughter.
More like the huh-hums but all day. It was irritating but it’s cleared up now.
Wishing the best for your dad.

I also had a lingering cough for 3 weeks after covid, which also worried me but then went away. It certainly sounds like your dad's cough is also from covid.
All the best.
Good morning sweetie I had covid in January and i developed a bad cough. It has gotten better. Lemon honey cough drops and peppermint also drinking something warm helps. Prayers he gets better. God bless
hi Jennifer! Both my husband and I had a lingering cough after testing negative for another month or so. My in-laws had the same experience as we got Covid at the same time on a cruise. What helped our coughs was Delsym and just waiting it out. Hope your dads cough starts to diminish soon. Lin
I take the Letrozole and Ibrance but not having had covid I can only speculate that your father’s cough is a lingering side effect from covid. Obviously his oncologist would be the best person to ask in the near future. Good luck🌸
