hi everyone! My dad was diagnosed with MBC in May of 2022 to bone. He is currently on Ibrance, letrozole, lupron, and xjeva. He just had his first pet scan after starting treatment and it shows that all of his previous lesions that lit up on the PET scan have resolved. (Primary breast tumor and bone lesions as well). Has anyone had this right off the bat and does this mean anything helpful for us long term? Trying to hold on to every second of this excitement that I can!

PET results!
Good for you and your Dad. Enjoy the results and it means that the meds are working.

That's great news! And seems to be a quick response. There is no way to know how long any drug will work for any of us as we all respond so differently but go celebrate the happy news that your dad is doing well on this regimen!
Fantastic news ! I do think that is a fast response . It took me 2 pet scans from starting Ibrance and Fulvestrant 6/2020 to show a complete response and am still scanning with no evidence of active disease . For the record my oncologist said she would be happy with stable or reduced Mets and NEAD was really great. My Mets were distant nodal so neck and chest nodes (hilar , mediastinal and others ). I would love to find statistical relevance correlating clear scans with longer survival but have not found any such studies. However, it's good news in that his cancer was really impacted by the meds which makes me think his cancer is slower growing. I know women on another discussion board that have been on Ibrance for more than 6 years with no evidence of active disease who are doing great. Enjoy these results and keep visualizing that he will be super responder
