My father has metastasized prostate cancer. What are the odds with chemo?
My dad was diagnosed with prostate cancer 10 years ago in 2012, with pelvic
metastasis
in 2018. He’s been on all types of medications, and he shares very little about it with me unfortunately - it’s likely because I’ll be worried.

New PSMA radiotracer zirconium 89 better than gallium-68
However, even if the prostate gland has been removed, there is still a risk of
metastasis
. '
Metastasis
can occur if the surgeon was not able to extract all of the tumour during the operation and tiny fragments of cancerous tissue are still present.

Lycopene + Sulforaphane - Forms, Dosage, Upsides, Downsides?
My goal is that if the RARP is not curative, I can try my best to slow the progression (delay biochemical recurrence and
metastasis
) giving the max amount of time for other newer more effective treatments to develop.

Lovely holiday in Tenerife - back to cancer life!

PT2CPN0 is this cure able?
If no bone
metastasis
is there a possibility for a cure. My medical oncologists told me when my psa gets to 0.5 , I could get a PSMA scan and find out where the little suckers are located. I had a BCR six months after surgery . Surgery was in 12/2013 Thanks for you input.

Results due to Taxol vs Herceptin/ Perjeta?
Hi Everyone! I was diagnosed de novo with MBC mets to liver. I am being treated in Canada (GTA). My current treatment is Herceptin, Perjeta and Taxol. I am starting round 5 & will continue only for a few more before they remove Taxol. I have been responding well. Recent CT shows anxilla nodes have

Blood in urine
I have developed a wayward
metastasis
in my pelvis, which was treated with radiation last January. Last night I passed a large blood clot in my urine. Has anybody any thoughts on this?

Lu-177 in Austria - Report and underlining high importance of both FDG and PSMA PET/CTs
Still this finding is more compatible with unspecific pitfalls rather than a bone
metastasis
. The faintly sclerotic lesion without PSMA expression but now decreasing mild FDG uptake in the lower right ramus ossis ischii is similar in shape.

I started eribulin two weeks ago. Yesterday, I began with horrible mouth pain and dark redness and difficult to move tongue. Any ideas ladies? Doc gave me a script for miracle mouthwash but that did nothing. I am using the salt and baking soda which helps the most. But, was anyone given anything to

Faslodex and skin issues
Does anybody have skin problems with Faslodex? I developed pimples and itchy bumps on my face and under my hair. Went to a dermatologist, who says it’s a side affect of Faslodex. It’s not on the list of common side affects.

Reply to jersey-jazz. I thought you might also be interested in my medical history.
If you don’t mind to read a long story, I would love to provide more details. I moved to US since 2000. I worked here and had insurance all the time but never think about to use it since I always think myself as a healthy person. My first diagnosed DCIS on 2012 was in Taiwan when I went back to visit

Second Guessing Surgery Decision
If my goal is, in the event the primary treatment isn't curative, to delay aggressive treatments for distant
metastasis
as long as possible, shouldn't I just go with MRI Guided SBRT + ADT as my primary treatment instead of RP?

Same as Carole, “new....well sort of ; )”
Please forgive me for my poor English and have to quote some of Carole’s words to express my thoughts. I also having been a member since 2018 and have read your collective posts daily for over 3 years. I was always hesitant to write a post because of my poor English and always didn’t have good news.

Confused about which scan is more suitable
So how do we know which scan is more suitable to detect
metastasis
; Ga68 PSMA or FDG PET? Could it be that nothing shows up on a PSMA PET but cancer is detected on FDG PET or vice versa? If this is true, then how do we know which scan is more suitable?

Disappointing CT Scan Results
Hi Ladies After 10 days of anxiously waiting, I got my scan results yesterday. On a positive note, my bones are still stable & my lymph node under my arm has shrunk slightly. Unfortunately, my lungs & liver are showing significant progression. It’s so disappointing after going through so much chemo,

Pamidronate
Has anyone else been receiving pamidronate instead of Zometa? Shortly after receiving my first treatments my bones just ache. Then it seemed to subside. I had to miss a couple of treatments due to covid, after my first treatment I was sore again. I have numerous bone Mets from the top of my head down
