Israeli scientists say substance prevents cancer’s spread in mice with 90% success
“We believe that this can prevent the activation of the invadopodia and therefore inhibit

. I expect that it could be used in addition to chemotherapy or other treatments that kill cancer cells,” he said. Prof.

Taxol For MBC
Good morning. After taking Ibrance w/ Fulvestrant for 8 mos., it stopped working 2 mos. ago. The next plan is Piqray w/ Fulvestrant, but the side effect were too much - especially to my one remaining eye (the mucous membrane). Next plan, which I should begin this Wed. if ins. approves, is Taxol infusions

is it too much to hope for shrinkage?
I’m stage 4 in breast, liver, multiple bones and lung. Been attempting completely natural for over 2 years. Last scan showed some improvement but the breast tumor is getting harder and larger. So now going all in with what my amazing oncologist is suggesting. Started on Ibrance and Anastrozole this last

Monoamine oxidase A (MAOA): A promising target for prostate cancer therapy
Cancer-cell-derived MAOA also enables cancer-stromal cell interaction involving bone stromal cells and nerve cells by secretion of Hedgehog and class 3 semaphorin molecules respectively to modulate the tumor microenvironment in favor of invasion and

Hi everyone! My mother is on ibrance and faslodex for 15 cycles. she had pelvic metastases that are still under control, but there are new ones on her spine. she will continue to receive the same therapy. Does anyone have a similar experience? is it possible to keep the disease under control even

SUVmax ???
Hello All , from a previous post : The SUVmax can discriminate PCA
metastasis
degree & oligo-
metastasis
status. The ADT treated oligo-
metastasis
patient may still have disease progression when the primary prostatic carcinoma focus SUVmax is greater than 28.22 .

new metastasis in pelvis, new protocol
After 11 years dealing with mbc, and being no evidence of disease for 2 years, I now have in my pelvis. I’ll be getting 5 sessions of radiation. Then I start Kisqali and exemestane. I didn’t tolerate Ibrance, I’m wondering how this will work on me. Is anyone who didn’t tolerate Ibrance now on Kisqali

Holiday inspiration!
Hi lovely ladies, After reading about Beth’s amazing travels in New Zealand, I hope to encourage you to follow your dreams with travel when you can. I am from the UK, and was crushed when I had to cancel my planned silver wedding anniversary trip to New England twice, the first time because of the pandemic

Starting Xeloda soon
I am a rare case for Johns Hopkins. Dx de novo ER/Pr +, Her2 - almost 8 years ago. Two very tiny liver mets only. Did extremely well and achieved NED status on Ibrance and AI for 6.5 years when we noticed the primary site of cancer in the breast was growing. Switched to Faslodex and Fulvestrant.

Stage 4 Prostate Cancer treated with Xtandi- 3 pills & Zolodex; 1.5 yrs diagnosed, now left side pain under ribs
Some
Metastasis
to the ribs- right and left side. Thoughts are that pain could be muscular. Ultrasound is not definitive but the oncologist is reluctant to do a colonoscopy. Has anyone experienced any pain similar? I am periodically taking Advil to relieve the discomfort.

Rant! Rant! Rant!
It’s hard to talk about cancer because there are so many things people do differently in treatment, so many choices we make. I don’t get offended much but someone said something today that kind of hit me the wrong way. I never understood why stage iv cancer patients were offended by those who didn’t

Bone pain
Hello everyoneI'm 53 and have triple negative metastatic bone cancer. Found out when my femur fractured last October. I'm on Xeloda. My bones in hip and knee are starting to hurt more, even though my last PET scan was clear. Why is this happening?

Xeloda causing hand redness and extreme tenderness ... playing phone tag with onc's nurse
I am frustrated and feeling more vulnerable and overwhelmed than I've felt during most of my 19 year journey with MBC. On day 5 of 7 days off Xeloda, second round of two weeks on, one week off. I phoned the cancer center either two or three times yesterday and twice so far today. On top of that, I

Fulvestrant side effects
Just wondering whether anyone on fulvestrant alone has experienced any of the potential side effects listed for this drug? Not the injection itself but afterwards. I had my 4th set of shots 3 weeks ago. The only side effect I experienced after the first 3 injections was fatigue but this time, 2 days

Need to make a decision and I’m absolutely frozen.
- don’t know if I’m thinking about that clearly) I told the surgeon what some of the Decipher stats that were calculated specifically for my case: 50% chance recurrence in 5 years with definitive RT (no hormones) 7.2% chance
metastasis
in 5 years after RT or RP, 17.6% at 10 years. 19.5% 15
