Flu shot, 2018
Hi All Just had my annual flu vaccination! 👏🏽💜 No negative effects, not even sore shoulder. Pharmacist did say that my 7 mg pred dose may reduce vaccine effectiveness a bit, but still preferable to remaining un-vaccinated . I've had influenza in years past, and was severely ill! I'll take the

Flu Jab Differences
I realise there are two types of flu jabs this year. One for under 65's and a different one for over 65's. I am off for my flu jab tomorrow and would like the better of the two. Has anyone had any luck getting the over 65's? I am in my early 60's but have on-going problems with my lungs. Is this a cost

Update: DEXCOM
So, after the way the flu shot caused the sensor to go beyond weird for the week, the numbers are finally going back down to normal. I replaced the sensor this afternoon and did an after dinner test. It was 174 mg/dl after dinner out. I had a plate of salad, sweet potato, grilled zucchini and some

FEEL GOOD FRIDAY
Hello Folks, It is Friday again and it brings a change in the weather. Autumn is on it's blustery way again. With it brings thoughts of crunching through fallen leaves, wrapping up warmly when out walking and cosy nights in front of the fire. It also brings thoughts of having the flu vaccine to keep

The Flu Jab!
I've just had a text from my GP practice offering me a flu jab.As I am over 60 & have an auto-immune condition,I learned from this forum I am eligible for the "top-of-the range"one. I've only had it once & got a bad cold followed by a nasty sinus infection which with me causes horrendous problems lasting

Hi has anyone had the flu jab yet? Just wondering if anyone had any good reviews. To see if it’s worth having. One of my customer came into work and said he had a bad night and has a saw arm. So thinking about do I or don’t I.

Flu jab worries?
Hi all, We're looking to talk to someone whose worried about taking the flu jab this year? Perhaps you have ended up in hospital with an asthma attack after getting flu? Or you don’t think the flu jab works, or you’re worried about side effects? If you're happy to talk to our media team about this

Flu Jab?
My GP Sugery has offered me the flu jab. (I must fall into the over 18 under 65 with a chronic medical condition catergory). Is this a hypothyroid/Hashimoto reason or are they still treating me as if I have CFS/ME? Just wondered if it’s standard procedure to offer to Hashimoto/ hypothyroid patients.

The Annual Flu Jab, is it good for Behcets?
So, I received a letter from my local surgery about the categories that are entitled to the annual free flu jab in the UK. I was obviously being offered one as a member of a group that can be immuno suppressed or have neurological issues . My first thought was great , I have often thought how useful

I have a long history of eczema and asthma. Having over 65 flu jab tomorrow. Close friend and retired nurse has bad flu symptoms after jab this year. She has not reacted so badly in previous years. Wondering if anyone else has felt ill after having it so I can be prepared!!

NEW FLU VACCINE
I am aware that for many years "experts" have said that a flu injection can affect people who have had strokes, and are on Warfarin. Now I understand, that the new flu vaccine for this year for the "over 65's" may react adversely with Warfarin. It apparently contains different enzymes etc. which cause
