JC virus and Shingles vaccine

Hi folks, been down under but here is a question.Has anyone been told by doc that shingles shot may trigger J C virus into pml? Ive had a shingles much early in my MS(not sure the shot and relapse were related) and now with new shot...any knowledge appreciated.Just afraid to trigger something else...

My neurologist said it is ok now that it is not a live virus. I am on a waiting list to get Shingrix shots. The pharmacy only gets five a month as they are short right now. Might be first of the year and they will be more available 👍🙏🐾😉 Ken

Im not sure with jcv i just stay away from any of those shots,seems i had horribly reaction with flu shot idk maybe just was a fluke im not sure i just dont risk any of it...

My neuro recommends the vaccine as long as it is not live virus. And the Tpap vaccine, which is for whooping cough.

I received the Shingrix vaccine and necessary booster. No problems. I am jc positive. Felt grateful it was available. Kellly xx
