My GP has recommended taking progestogen-only pills to stop constant bleeding caused by progestogen-only implant - how will this help?
Hi everyone, I'm new here and just looking an explanation about something I'm confused about. Back in September, I got a Nexplanon implant, a form of contraception which exclusively releases progestogen. For the last two months I've experienced constant menstrual bleeding (every single day) as a side-effect

COVID versus Fibro
Sorry to out these two together both are scary enough alone but there may be some discoveries coming out of COVID 19 that may be of benefit. Fibro affects females about 8 times more than men. COVID affects men about 8 times more than women. The assumed difference could be oestrogen hormone. Also,

Diagnosis
I have grade 2 invasive ductal breast cancer. I have 2 cancers, both in the right breast. Both are progesterone and oestrogen receptor positive, but one also has the HER2 protein marker. Because of that I get the entire gold package; surgery, reconstruction, chemo for 6-12 months with hair loss counselling

Has anyone else experienced shortness of breath or high anxiety on prostap?
I’ve been on prostap on and off since 2014. My latest set of 3 monthly injections started in June 2020, they were great, stopped all pain and I was happy. Fast forward to December 2020... and the HRT I was taking alongside the prostap is no longer available due to COVID-19 so I was given Estrogel pump

Oestrogen 😩 and T3, could it be?
So I’ve been on the same T3 dose for months now with few issues. I also take progesterone cream and the only time things have gone awry is if I’ve stopped it. It clearly has a big effect on T3 absorption for me. Stupidly, I recently tried pregnenolone as I suffer still from muscle fatigue and weakness

TSH levo and IVF results need advice
Hello, i got my blood test results today regarding my thyroid. Any advice would be appreciated as i am very confused with what i should do. I was put on levothyroxine 50 mcg and then during oestrogen stimulation on 75 mcg due to high TSH 2.7 mIU/L (prior to stimulation) during my IVF. My TSH results

FET scan and possible endometriosis
Hi all, not sure the purpose of this post but just wanted to share what’s going on. I’m in the middle of my first FET cycle and have been taking estrogen for the last week. Went for my first scan today so they could check the lining and tell me if I should start the progesterone. However they found

In focus: exercise - strength
Hello This month in our ‘Health in Focus’ posts we’re looking at exercise for people diagnosed with ovarian cancer. Today we’ll look more closely at strengthening exercise, and next week we’ll focus on mind and body/flexibility exercise such as yoga and tai chi. Exercise that builds muscle strength

Thin lining during FET cycle - any success stories?
I’ve had a rubbish 5.5mm lining on my scans this month and have been told the cycle will be cancelled if it doesn’t change in the next 4 days. They’ve added oestrogen patches to my progynova regime to try and give it a boost. Has anyone had success in thickening their lining over such a short time frame

Letrozole
Hello Ladies, Looking for some advice and any feedback on your experience of Letrozole. I am stage 3 HGS and have just finished my chemo and underwent debaulking surgery. My Oncologist previously told me I would not eligible for any maintenance drugs but on my last call with him I questioned this again

Bleeding before transfer after down reg and estrogen
Hi. I am about to go for my 3rd transfer. I have this time and previously experienced light bleeding from starting my estrogen tablets. My last cycle was cancelled for this reason and this cycle I was Down regulated then continued down regulation with the introduction of estrogen ready for transfer.

Thyroxine and Oestrogel
Hi. This is a question for anyone taking thyroxine and HRT (specifically Oestrogel). I used to use the gel at night and take my thyroxine in the morning. However due to my sleep issues, a couple of months ago, my endo suggested trying the thyroxine at night. So I swapped them around (thyroxine at night

I have been unwell for 2 years with symptoms of high Cortisol. I had started a new job which was very stressful, was taking HRT tablets and propranolol for anxiety. My Cortisol level was high. I left that job but my symptoms remained. All the fat was on my stomach and back with a fat pad on the back

Period pains whilst on contraception (suffering from Amenorrhea)
Hi, I'm new to posting and have been diagnosed with PCOS for 5 years. I have amenorrhea and cysts on both ovaries :( I've been on the combined pill under the care of Gynae and that went "well" as I had a withdrawal bleed etc but had issues with weight-control with it so I'm now trying the contraceptive
