Is Diet and Exercise helpful?
Diagnosed with CKD for a couple of years now and one of the main factors I see often in managing or slowing the eGFR count is Diet & Exercise (losing weight), a diet with less or no sodium and no red meat seems to be the one subject I often stumble upon. Is that a good summarization? Would fasting also

Post-treatment lab results -- interpretation help appreciated!
Hi, everyone! I'm hoping those of you who have more experience appraising lab results can help me here, since I still have two weeks before I can go to the hematologist to have these explained to me. I have iron deficiency anemia (formally diagnosed) and, until recently (?), what I assumed to be pernicious

Natural remedies.
I didn’t want to have to go down the drugs from the doctors, so decided to go natural. I am now taking height strength magnesium, vitaminD and Iron , which has started to help , then I found out that I was low on sodium in my diet . Adding a bit more salt is really helping and I had a much better sleep

Surgery to the spine for mets
I have mets to my spine in the cervical and thoracic regions and have had the maximum radiation allowed to that area. It seems there is new activity in the area and the Docs are discussing surgery to try and eliminate some of the spinal compression causing pain and numbness. Has anyone undergone surgery

Any help/advice welcome.Desperate.
Hi. First time here, but desperate at this point. Was diagnosed with GERD 5 years ago. Symptoms started when pregnant with my second child. Nexium daily helps the reflux. I have had (what I assume to be) ibs flare ups for about 8 years now. But they we milder and I don't remember them being this severe

Is it okay to take Rennie after Gaviscon?
I've been suffering from bad acid reflux and after a month of a double dose of nexium, I've been prescribed pantoprazole. I'm only on my first full day of day of pantoprazole but am really suffering tonight. Not sure if it's because I haven't taken the nexium this morning like I normally would have and

I’m not so sure about this...
After having consistent blood tests for 12 months I have been diagnosed with CKD. In trying to educate myself about this disease I have come to question if I really do have it. Based on blood tests I do but....I have no reason for getting it. Apart from low gfr and high creatinine, my bloods are fine

Auximen scan shows significant new cancerous activity and last post about my brother
Unfortunately, this is the last post about my brother. He passed away on October 6. My brother showed great fortitude against very long odds, and his courage and strength of spirit during this brutal battle was inspirational. I am heartbroken to lose him, but I know the cliché that he is finally at peace

Weight Gain
Does anyone have suggestions for gaining weight? I cut way back on sodium and protein. Because of this I have lost 30 pounds. My doctor says it's ok, but I think I am too thin. Any suggestions?
